I hate that the big box stores don’t do better with supplies for OUR seasons... they are cutting way back on garden supplies, just when we’re getting INTO our best growing season here in south Florida.

omg yes I wish that would change in florida's stores. And in spring they put things that it's way too hot for like strawberries and lavender, I made the mistake of buying them when I was a beginner.

We are in Lee County and just establishing our first vegetable beds ever; focused on native pollinators and fruit trees first this summer. So of course the same week we have tomato, radishes, kale, and chard seedlings barely peeking up a hurricane is set to drown the yard, lol. Gardening in Florida sure isn't boring!

Just a little update on the weather, I'm sure you know. We will be getting a storm coming through Florida somewhere between Naples fort Myers Tampa or above. I live in Central Florida above Orlando, we are not being left out of this one so far. We'll see there's so many variations in which direction this evil destruction fury LOL is going to go. I'm just giving heads up to everyone just in case someone may not know. Have a wonderful day :-)

Moments like this, I'm glad to have a container garden. I managed to save my pepper plants that were still producing(planted late in season last yr) and moved the rest of my container plants to the patio for shelter. I would've been VERY VERY disappointed if they had all drowned. Especially the jasmine plant I managed to save last yr.

I'm going to try by seed and see how things go. Myself I've been waiting for the weather to get out of the low 90s. I have had hardly any success at all during the summer.
