I can see how the constant talking can be annoying for some people, especially for streamers who are trying to entertain or interact with an audience and can’t get a silent moment to do so. But as someone just playing alone and just looking for a good single player experience I don’t mind the banter. I for one can enjoy the banter. They're well written and I always adore character interaction, but it isn't the fact that there's too much of it that irks me. It's that it's not paced well enough and it can cut itself off. They don't do the thing games started doing with characters cutting themselves off to do a thing then continuing the conversation. Shit just gets cut and they don't revisit the convo. It's not a deal breaker for me, but I like these characters too much to not want to hear it. I've even reloaded a checkpoint cuz an interesting conversation got cut off. I suppose my love for GotG comes from my love for Found Family tropes and just general fun. The GotG movies were the only MCU movies I watched. Only other one I would consider watching is Thor Ragnarok. Also, I will both praise and condemn the game for one thing. Calling me out when I wander off makes sense from a lore perspective. "It's time to get moving. Shouldn't waste time. Where the fuck did Peter go? He ran off into a dark alleyway looking for loot like some kind of scavenger monkey." On the other hand, I WANT TO EXPLORE AND COLLECT AND MY TEAM IS BEING VERY MEAN TO ME.

So many KZfaq gamers apparently hate dialogue. That's cool but I'll never understand it. You're supposed to be on an adventure with buddies. You wouldn't be silent for 80% of the time. The characters will talk.

What's wrong with the banter? I've learned a bunch of stuff and lore listening to the banter because all of it was all always relevant to the current situation and story, it's not like dragon's dogma where they some random shit over and over, it never repeats it's always new information about lore and camaraderie based on the current situation, there are some repetition but only the ones they yell during combat. It's almost exactly like the recorder tapes from bioshock instead this time it comes real time from your crew interacting with you.
