They also set an ncaa record for outscoring consecutive ranked opponents 124-7.. Btw most of the guys talking in this video are from before the 2001 national championship team

How many teams run the table?? Plenty. Notre Dame 1988, Washington 1991, Alabama 1992, Nebraska 94, 95, 97. Tennessee 1998, Florida State 1999, Oklahoma 2000, Texas 2005, Alabama 2009, Auburn 2010. So teams in college football go undefeated all the time....and some play in real conferences...not Independent or Big East. I just love how some guys throw out comments that sound really good, but hold no water.

im a ohio state fan but i do have a lot of respect for the u, they probably is the best program in college football in terms of putting talent into the nfl. for instance they had clintin portis, willis mcghee, and frank gore all on the same roster one year. that's 3 pro bowl running backs. the list of players from the u that are now superstar pro bowlers now is just ridiculous, i mean i run out of space naming all the people the u has put into the league

@therototube2 Well...since I played football for UCF and I hold a degree from UCF...I do support the school. They actually have a pretty good history for being such a young program. I loved my time at UCF, great school and great town(Orlando). Happy to see them going into the Big East. Beat Georgia in a bowl game last year. UCF is doing just fine. A little down this year.

I have followed the Canes for 30+ years. **So you are very proud of the nickname "The U". It is a great "catch phrase" right up there with "roll tide", "Go Gators", "boomer sooner" etc. Miami has 4 HOF players currently. Lots of other schools have many more than that....do you understand that? Lots of other schools have more NC's also. Thats what you don't get.

I don't know,care or think other college teams are as Insanely powerful like THE U!!! And Uncle Luke aka Luther Cambell hooking up players with Nookie and perks for TD's,,Sacks or any playmaker plays was EPIC!!! They get paid today so i don't wanna hear it... I love all my era of U teams(im genX) So VinnY,,,Erickson,,Gino but QB's was never our thang... WR's,,,TE's,,RB's & Defense Fo Sho!!!! That year McGahee got hurt was the best RB single season of dominance ive EVER SEEN!!! He went god mode... Some Say RON DAYNE did it @ Wisonsin couple years After Ricky Williams did it and broke ALL of Rickys single season records. whatevs i don't care.. Those dudes are more Edgerin James type awesome...Not That McGahee year.. He was soo full of energy like the was Laurinatis was like that Rooki CLAY MATHEWS.. If you remembe rthey were just amped up every play... That McGahee leg break hurt me badly... Then it happened again when Dolphins RB Ronnie Brown broke his leg in his amazing season where he was on fire & full of super energy. @knightguy11 Yah the 80's had longevity, that's nice, but as far as I'm concerned 2001 Miami was the best by far. Had Butch stayed with that team the 'Canes would have made the 2003-2005 USC teams look like chumps in the national championship games

Not so much. But yes...I have a complete and full life. I have owned my own business for the last 20 years(RE Appraiser) 2 great kids and a wife. I play golf(6 handicap), work out, active with my church. I volunteer with my sons high school lacrosse team currently. He's a great player. Not enough hours in the day my friend. Thanks though! good day.

Man, I'm with you...I know Al Golden from Temple, & he did a great job there, but the U is a whole different ball game. I think college football is better served when miami is good...But man, it's so sad, Miami hasn't been good or even relevant in 10 years! That is really shocking how far it has fallen and how fast...they still have talent but just can't put it all together...how bad they are this season is really sad...just getting blown out like they shouldn't!
