When you do repair your ceiling MJ, you may want to put a small vent in the ceiling, maybe near the corner near the kitchen or bathroom, to let soem more airflow get to the attic space and help get the mositure out with improved airflow. This could help reduce the humidity damage to your ceiling. Good to hear mom’s sari sari is still there. Would still recommend, when you can afford it, to tear down mom’s garage and build a dedicated space for the sari sari store as an extension on the far side of her house so it looks like an extension of that house with a common roof line. This way it is seperate from her home/private space and also the karaoke noise will be further from your house. Then also, build it so the noise from karaoke goes away from your house sicne it is alwasy far too loud. Then also, when you can knock down your garage and rebuild it as a two car garage (if there is sufficient space) between your house and hers, but again with a common roof off her house so it looks cleaner and is sturdier. Then you build a block wall on the back and side of the garage to frame it in strong for rain storms, etc. Hoping there is enough room you could park both cars side by side but if not then i still think it would be best to rebuild the garage stronger and connect it to her house for added stability and to look cleaner. Then if there isnt enough room, then rebuild a new garage for mom off the rebuilt sari sari store down where it is now. No shame in needing a “ME” day. After working for 31 years (40 hours+ per week), I occasionally take a ME day except I call them ‘personal sanity days’ now. Just get tired of the grind and need a day off to refresh and relax. If you need to get away from home then just run to SM and eat out and treat yourself. Just film the drive and post it. A nice easy way to get a vid out. I watch a few youtubers who NEVER talk and they just walk around town or drive places and just post the videos. I use it as a way to test my memory of where they are and learn new places and changes for when i visit next time. So take a ME day and just record the drive and post it. Like a ‘tour of a route in Cebu’. They arent in cebu but someplace else in Leyte. But you could do the same thing. Maybe…. ‘My lazy drive to SM” or “out and aboutto unwind” and just post it. Some of us also just like to enjoy the countryisde life. I would put the mirror on the back of the door. You dont use the mirror every day and even if you do, it is for like a minute. It just adds clutter to keep putting up more stuff. So you coudl close the door to use the mirror, then reopen the door and it is hidden. Cleaner and still functional. Secondarily, you could even put it on the back side of your door in your bedroom or in the guest room.

I worked 13 shifts 12hours every nite then 1 off then again 7nites straight now I’m just on the bed 2 days and back to work tonite so we all would like to be on bed when we are off it’s not laziness we all deserve a break from all the chaotic life… don’t be too hard on yourself, you take a break and show us what’s in country side life like the difference with city market, city malls, seaside or the beaches there I dunno but i will also retire in a quiet place somewhere in Laguna but 10-15minutes away from the malls …
