Daily drive a sedan and my second "utility" vehicle is a manual transmission wagons. As for the Integra I love they incorporated the hatchback design. More Americans should embrace sedans and wagons instead of the lifted wagons called "crossovers".

I really like your review process. You move quickly through the features making the video informative but fast paced. I own a 2023 Integra with the 6-spd manual, and think you hit all the important points. You did leave one out... As a golf club maker I have to point out that you can fit a set of clubs horizontally in the hatch. The heads of the clubs fit perfectly into that little notch with the cargo net! - Dave

I’m glad there is a manual option. But am I the only one that prefers the automatic for this car (even if it’s a lousy CVT)? I’m just interested in a new entry level luxury daily driver that looks good and has decent driving dynamics; all under 40K MSRP. I personally don’t feel convinced about a manual in this car for my needs. If we are talking Civic Si, that’s a different story. Even though it’s the same powertrain, the premium interior and better looking exterior of the Acura are enough to satisfy me without a manual. I’d rather have a second vehicle that’s RWD and a manual to scratch that itch (Toyota 86 maybe?).
@AB21
@AB21 Жыл бұрын
No you arent the only one. imo it makes no sense to get this over the Si if you really want a manual. Ive had my fair share of manual cars and just want a nice looking well equipped car to chill and drive as a daily driver.

This would be my perfect car in Apex Blue Pearl with white or black interior if the Type S is overkill for what I need. It would be $40K with all the OEM options and accessories. The Type S same colors with all the options I want would be almost $20K more. This is a luxury Civic SI with the hat back utility and available CVT if you don't want a manual and spend $5K extra. The engine was dyno'd at 222 HP in OEM form by Hondata in an Si when they just came out. Not my favorite engine, but I wouldn't be abusing and trashing it.

Lots of very cool things about this car. I've been in market for a hybrid compact or subcompact SUV, and this is the only gas car I"m currently considering. Sound system is the best in pretty much any car I've tested. Infotainment is excellent, and it's overall an excellent package. I just wish... it got better MPG in the city and sat a liiiiiiittle big higher! But, overall, this is a very good car.

Yet another great review. I was a bit surprised at your measured 0-60. 7.7 in 2022 with a manual higher-spec trim level is not very quick at all. The rest of the car is great. The looks and the interior are top notch. Hopefully they do the Integra like how they did the TLX and a Type-S is coming with the 272hp turbo 4 from the base TLX. Is it too much to ask for the Civic Type R motor to be put into an Integra Type R???? Thanks again Chris!
@AutoAcademics
@AutoAcademics Жыл бұрын
With all the Type-S variants coming out, I wouldn't be surprised if they offered one for the Integra, with possibly a Type-R, too, The_Notorious_9. Even with the lack of power, this Integra is a sweet driving car and as I mentioned in the review, it doesn't feel that slow when you're in the powerband. Thanks for watching!

From Google: The Integra Type S will be a 2024 model year vehicle. Current plans have it hitting dealerships sometime during the summer of 2023. Acura confirmed that the Integra Type S will pack a "high-revving turbocharged 2.0-liter VTEC" motor packing more than 300 horsepower like the Civic Type R.

I like the Integra, but primarily because it's fancier and comes with more creature comforts. Plus, Honda didn't send me one of their last-gen Accords so I never got to spend much time with them. I do not understand why Honda did not install the 2.0L 4 cylinder turbo charged engine that they use in many other applications. The 2 liter turbo is a fantastic, smooth and high revving engine that is just a gem. That mid 7 sec to 60mph acceleration time would be more like high 5 to low 6 second to 60 mph acceleration. This is the Acura division. Why should a loaded Accord or a Sport 2.0T have more balls than an A-Spec Acura Integra?

Like any Honda / Acura with the exception of the s-types and even then those as well they're not factory tuned. When you buy them we all know you have to take them to the tuner and have them taken/tuned where you need them to go for your needs. To judge them right off the showroom floor makes no sense to people like me who run these cars for over 40 years.

I am one of those people who tried a SUV, a Jeep Grand Cherokee, and will never go back to cars any more. SUVs have more luggage room, they are easier to get in and out compared to low cars, they are easier to put child seats in for your back, you ride higher so you can see over lowly sedans, and they are safer because usually bigger and higher. SUVs also have better ride because more suspension travel and generally bigger tires. Cars handle better for those that are that, otherwise get a sUv or truck for better life.
