While I thought the doc was really good and interesting I do think an important take away from it was more about the power of corporations (or big company influence or whatever) rather than just social media. Corporations have always had great power yes but just having this awareness may damper that power. It falls in line with when Gary V says "social media has exposed us". I just hope the doc doesn't make people equate social media = bad and then we all think the problem is solved. I understand there are huge problems and concerns with social media but I'd hate for that to become a distraction for the bigger problem. It seems like a temporary solution to a long term problem.

@@fasfan it's not that bad. Depends on tolerance I guess but for a lot of people a couple of light edibles is very mild and you definitely could take care of your kids like that. I just googled it and those sodas are 2mg each so you would need 4 or 5 of those to really feel anything even with a low tolerance

The Venice montage music right after discussing ‘The Social Dillema’ was mind twisting, and very appropriate considering, for me, it represents the unsettling mental state after realizing the true twisted nature of social media. I appreciate the thought provoking editing there, whether or not it was intentional.

I just saw the film yesterday, I knew some things already before but I was still shocked at a lot of parts. I’m happy people are now realizing how these companies have a huge amount of people in control, and that KZfaqrs are also talking about it.

I watched the “social dilemma” the other nite with my wife. It was ok...the re-enactments were cheesy as hell. (Yes - I pay attention to that stuff. I worked in Hollywood years ago). However, the message was legit and we should all be friggin scared and terrified! Our kids are becoming antisocial zombies. Just my .02 Casey. Love ❤️ that back vlogging.

Watched it last night and it confirmed what I already suspected. Needless to say I’m making a conscious effort to not fall into the quicksand. Already started by tuning off all my notifications. Went out for a walk this morning instead of jumping straight into work. Felt great.
