It's been a lot recently with solo parenting, working to full capacity and not feeling like any housework has been done in about 3 weeks... but we're finally getting there - bring on Christmas!!

It’s this month as well when there’s just so much to do. We all caught a cold and the house is a mess! Looking forward to getting better and getting it all sorted for Xmas. Curtains look nice and well done for doing so well during the busy period !

You’re doing great lovely. I’m a solo parent to a 2 year old and I’m always getting behind on housework. I just don’t have the time and energy. My LO is very demanding and not yet in pre-school, I hardly get a minute to myself and when I do I just want to sit down with a cup of tea! I dip in and out of your vlogs, love your positive energy and relate to you also having a 2 year old :)

We had the same problem with the mould on the window at the top. We found a special additive you add to the normal paint that will prevent it. I forgot the name of it, but think it was on Amazon. 2 years later and it’s still pure white from after we painted it 😊

Stopped the video to say those curtains are lovely. If you raise the curtain rod they will look even better and make the ceilings feel higher. Personally I don’t mind at all when curtains touch the floor. I think they look fab.

You’re doing an amazing job Shan! You’ve got a lot of spinning plates by the sounds of it, at least now work has calmed down and your husband is back it will take that pressure off you a little bit. Just need George to sleep now!!

A dehumidifier will help so much with the condensation and also dries your washing in a few hours (no heating!) I can’t recommend them enough 😊

It’s so hard to keep a house clean with a toddler… we reset as best we can every night and it’s shocking again the minute he wakes up 😂 never mind alone with a toddler, working full time and being tired and drained! You’re doing an amazing job Shan. ❤

You are doing a great job! I am married with a husband at home but am a single parent in every sense. So hard to work full time and parent that the house ends up at the bottom of the list. Frustrating because a messy house depresses me. But we can only do so much ❤

Oh god I’m the opposite, my baby woke every 1-2 hours every night for the first 20 months, now she just turned two and only wakes once a night maybe twice which is amazing. She still can’t settle herself to sleep and she slept In Our bed for a year as she completely refused a cot. I recently bought her a toddler bed which I have to out in my room and she still usually ends up in my bed every night but it’s amazing compared to before. If she sleeps in her bed for even 3 hours in the night that is a total win for us haha x

@@HomeWithShan where did you get his bed? My daughter is in a cot bed and want to get a single bed. I was worried she will fall off but George’s looks quite low down? xx
