I love that you have kept George’s presents simple and not gone overboard. It’s really nice to see that from an influencer. He is absolutely going to love his train set. I bought my 2.5 year old a wooden trainset, a smaller one to begin with to see if she likes it. Hope you have a lovely Christmas xx

You’ve got George some lovely presents for Christmas! My best friend is a primary teacher and I always love the presents she gets for my son, she’s bought him that set of Julia Donaldson books and also the John Lewis train set over the years and my almost 4 year old still loves them all now. We love getting the train set out on a Sunday afternoon when he’s a bit bored of his other toys and it keeps him busy for ages! Have a lovely Christmas with your family 🎄❤️

I found buying my 2 year old hard this year as she’s not a baby anymore but seems too grown up for most toddler toys! We ended getting her a sorting pie because she loves number and colour learning and the little people barbie doll house! She also LOVES monkey puzzle and all the Julia Donaldson books, she’s got the snail and the whale and tiddler for Christmas! ❤

Lovely stuff. Some great ideas here. I like that drawing pad. I might have to get one of those. Have to confess I do tend to avoid creative stuff at home because it always seems to come with mess. I leave it for my toddler to make a mess at nursery but I do feel guilty. The pad is no mess, so such a win! For our boy who will be two a few days after Christmas I’ve got him a similar train set from BRIO, some play doh (which he has never had before so will be very novel and it suits my creative but no mess agenda) and a new Julia D book. For his birthday a few days later I’ve got him a balance bike and a helmet. I think he’ll be like George and absolutely absorbed by the train set, so little point getting him much else. He will be so happy with it. We have a small family so he won’t get loads more but it will be plenty to keep him entertained. I don’t think you need to get any more bits unless you think of something really special.

I can completely relate about not having 5 minutes to yourself. I have an 18 month old who's world is ending if he doesn't get what he wants and a 5 year old who winds him up even more! I am also solo parenting for most of the week as my husband and I work opposite shifts! IT IS HARD! Keep going, once they can communicate fully, it does start to get a little easier. I've got my son a few Julia Donaldson books to add to his collection as we also love them! A lot of her stories are actually on bbc iplayer too as little animated versions of the original. That might buy you a few more minutes peace 😂👍 xx

I completely agree with you about it being easier with newborns. I have 5 altogether (including twin boys) and I found with all of them the baby stage was the easiest. Toddler years are super difficult and you feel you need 8 pairs of hands and eyes! Then teen years is similar where no matter what you try you just can’t seem to make them happy 😂

I'm with you on the shower front. I'm a single mum with a feral toddler 😂 I've started getting in the bath with him. As when I do it late at night his room is next to the bathroom and it always wakes him 🙄 x

I go to bed early even though mine are teenagers! It’s the cat that can wake me up. Hard to sleep train but so worth it in the end,my 14 year old still remembers how I slept trained him at 20months it took all night I was in tears but now I can’t get him out of his bed!! 😂😂

I have 3 children my eldest is 9 years old my daughter is nearly 3 and my baby boy is 10 weeks old. For Christmas for our almost 3 year old we got her Bluey toys she is obsessed with Bluey.

Is having George in the bath while you have a quick shower in the Sam's bathroom and option in the evenings? Since I did that with my toddler it was a game changer.

Thank you for being honest in your videos with the struggle of toddlerhood🥲I agree with sleep. My 20 month old has developmental delay and possible autism and he cant communicate at all and I have no idea what to do when he gets up in the night😭 you are an amazing mum to George 🥰 x
