So, first watched your previous video. Congratulations on starting a fulltime business. I think you hit the nail with a this size equipment. It makes you versatile. Smaller machines cost less, so you don’t need to run them constantly. I hope you will have enough employ during winter time. Perhaps you can start fixing machines for your collegues. Good luck, don’t mind letting us wait for a new episode. Now we know your business is triving, so we can wait a while!

If you had a rock crusher you could turn boulders and large stone into crushed gravel for foundation work... sometimes on the same site your digging the stone out of. It makes economic sense and it would pay itself off every time you use it.
@brianpearl75042 жыл бұрын
Pro Tip! Sometimes when you have a large object, like the boulder you were moving? You can slightly pick it up using bucket and excavator blade and track it to where you need to go. Works surprisingly well. Not always, but in many circumstances.
@MiniMachines12 жыл бұрын

Cool material transporter. The bucket is fine for self loading, but it could more versatile if it could tilt even using a manual hinge and pin slots for stripping sod, scraping or removing other material. Tilting down 5° or 10° would add lots of functionality. Looking at your mini-excavator, it is a sin that it doesn't have a thumb. Thumbs make it easier to move larger things like rock, concrete, logs, or other stuff!
@MiniMachines13 жыл бұрын
You can tilt the bucket and use it for digging, if you tilt the container the bucket goes longer down. Here in Norway you almost never see a excavator with a thumb, we don't use them, I can see it would be handy but it's also a bit in the way and add weight (reduced lifting power)

How come the tipper lorrys and your hook trailer body have such a small tailgate
@heartland96a3 жыл бұрын
I d say with a typical large tail gate hinged at the top it would limit the size of debris that it could pass under it , or it would have to be completely removed and stored. Where the short gate can be lowered and remain attached . Just my observation
@MiniMachines13 жыл бұрын
Correct as @heartland96a said my trailer and the trucks come with an big top hinged tailgate but they get taken off quickly, like now I had to take it off to drive the dumper in and dump so more work and the little one work great keeps almost everything in 😀

@jamessaunders19262 жыл бұрын
Great video.. But pound for pound & dollar for dollar a skid steer is a much better machine.. on every level.
@MiniMachines12 жыл бұрын
I got a skid steer but I do not like that type of machine. The skid steer is really weak compared to its weight, a small compact wheel loader will almost lift its own weight a skid steer only lifts 1/3 of its weight at best. You always need an excavator anyways, and when you have an excavator on sight the skid steer is not much use for. And if a skid steer would carry the same amount of dirt as the dumper I would need a semi trailer to move from job to job, and tear down the garage to get in 😅 But this has a lot to do with where you are from, here in Norway there are never a skid steer to see, we don't use them, but I see that in America they are used for everything. Here everyone starts with a excavator and no one buys one with out a tiltrotator or 5 different buckets
