Did the Gibson Quality Control department strike again? Today we have a lovely Gibson Flying V (2019 Original Collection) to check out. It’s an amazing instrument that I love to play (and it helps me on Tinder), but I have to be honest about the issues I’ve had with it. This is NOT just a “bash on Gibson” video. It’s an honest review.

Pros:
1. It looks amazing. The iconic shape and the finish are perfect.
2. Versatile sounds. You can go from blues, rock and metal to beautiful and sweet. I love the Burstbucker pickups
3. Playability when standing is excellent, and the lightweight make it easy to play for hours
4. The neck profile is surprisingly comfortable & upper fret access is amazing
5. Mojo. The Flying V is on my bucket list of cool
6. IT INSPIRES ME TO PLAY
Cons:
It pains me to say it because I really do love this guitar, but there were some issues
1. Busted pickguard out of the case
2. Intonation was off by a mile. Really poor setup
3. The neck pickup quit working because the electronics were crammed into the cavity like a rat’s nest
4. Awful feeling tuners. I do not like the Grover Rotomatics
If you’re new to the channel, consider subscribing. I’m trying to do something a little new in the guitar space, and I’d really appreciate the support. And check out some of the other videos. Thanks!
