Henry Ford once said, "Whether you think you can, or you think you can't-you're right." But what if the key to achieving your biggest dreams lies in being just a bit delusional about what's possible?
What are limiting beliefs and delusional optimisim?

Right now I'm thinking about dropping out of college, I'm in my third year studying computer science, but honestly I feel a lack of purpose other than money... That's why I'm going to become a firefighter, I know it's not a big goal, but It was my childhood dream and I genuinely think I'm going to be happy doing it! Thanks for this video my friend! I hope all of us can find something that gives a meaning to our lives!

you can still pursue becoming a firefighter but pls don’t drop out of college. you’ll regret it because you’re already in your final year, you might as well complete it and you never know you may change your mind in the future and a degree will be useful for so many things

@@n1a316 Thanks for the advice! I will keep that in mind, but being from Brazil, things are a little different, I would never drop out if I had any student debt, here I study for free on a federal university, and a computer science major takes 4 years to complete. Also to become a firefighter there is an age limit, 25 for officials and 30 for soldiers, and since being a firefighter you are also part of the military, there's a lot of benefits in this career, such as great stability, good work scales and many more... but for me, I'm just looking to be happy and helping people.

"I want to write books." The ridicule started immediately, so I gave up any thought of doing it. I went and got a retail job, worked on a Computer Science degree, and became an Alcoholic because I wasn't happy. I only lived through what other people wanted for me, never what I actually wanted, so it became this suffocating prison of mundanity. I recently got fired from my retail job because of my alcoholism, and guess what? I haven't had a drink since... it's almost like I was using it to cope with a life I hated. Go figure. Never live a life for other people, live it for yourself. They will come and go, they will ridicule you, but you're your only friend.

Low level people will ridicule or sabotage anyone who wants to rise above their level. Sorry if that sounds rude but it's what 60 years has taught me. Let them follow their own paths, get far far away from negative people and do what you do. Well done for dealing with your own matters. Leave others to deal with theirs. You *can* still write btw.

You gotta be confident enough, if you don't have self worth. People can sense it, and most are hypocritical about it save few good souls. If you're "strong" people will push you up and talk to you about it, but if you're "weak" you'll get trampled. They treat this like it's a common knowledge when it's not really. If you're in the know, they'll talk to you about it. But if you don't know, rarely anyone will tell you. So once you know what you want. Don't stop going for it.

@@wardeggerrobertmarius144 most successful people all started with a dream and conviction. Dreamers can be often seen as delusional. Which I understand. I used to come off delusional myself until I started to truly hone in on just what it takes to even think of winning a Nobel in my future. Manifesting at its finest. @@wardeggerrobertmarius144did you miss the point of the video? Delusions aren’t always false premises. Sure, they might seem too giant to handle, and too frustrating and out of someone’s league, but that doesn’t mean that being delusional and creating these “false premises” have to be accidental. Our goals and hopes and dreams are not an accident that are ACCIDENTALLY grown within us, hence our delusions to work towards our goals and hopes cannot be delusion either. Because you won’t accomplish anything if you keep staying stuck and facing reality that you aren’t smart, pretty or hardworking enough. Which is why delusion is needed. (In the sense of giving it your all and putting yourself in a mental state where you can do it) In going after your dreams delusion is needed, because there is no path a human hasn’t taken that resulted in listening to what someone’s outer or inner circle told them, about them not being good enough to get a Nobel peace prize or become the president of the US.

I’ve been having these thoughts for years, now. I started college in film studies because arts is all I can think about doing with my life and I’m so fucking tired of feeling like I failed life. All everyone thinks about is having a plain, simple life where all is shaped around the prospect of earning money. I don’t want that: I want something else, a life built around passion. And somehow, I feel like people put shame on that type of life decision. I’m fine with my choices but I keep having these doubts because it seems like everyone thinks this is the worst decision I’ve took in my life. It might be in the traditional way of thinking but I think it’s my rebellion to the world that keeps us from being real humans.

@CastleHassall

there's ways to make good films on your phone . then post to KZfaq.. it's a great way to build experience Steven Spielberg used to film all kinds of things with very basic cameras when he was starting out, just to get a feel for framing shots etc and it's best to try to do what you love in life, but it is useful to have income from something and that helps us be able to do things but there's ways to earn that are in your field and when you are training etc, but it is LONG HARD WORK sometimes pursuing our dreams and no one pays us for most of it but it's not wise to feel like "everyone" is against you, or that everyone is chasing money.. there's lots of people who are trying to do creative things and i bet there are some people who trying to be supportive and help you in life at different times. just because some people might be concerned about your future does not mean they are an enemy.. they may have had to earn just to make sure you could eat, and they maybe gave up on their dreams to make sure you have a roof over your head, so give them some love too, not everyone who is concerned about us is an enemy, they just care that you are ok but years ago there were NO film studies courses.. it was sheer dogged determination that was needed to get into film sets to learn how it is done.. so if you do get on a course please use it wisely and don't just get wrecked on drugs.. make films, on your phone! even five minute mood pieces that are just nice shots of things edited together in inshot app or something it would be cool to see you post a message to tell us to check out your channel for a piece you've made.. it does not have to be "perfect" .. be you.. do the things you feel you want to in life.. things fall into place more the more things we do in fields we love i write songs and record them and get very few views but i write from my heart about what i feel in tough moments in my life and i put them on my channel..i get no money from it and very few views, but i keep on writing my songs about what i feel in tough moments in life and i keep posting the videos as i want to be able to feel i did try to do the things i meant to in life.. it would be cool to see a video you make of one of my songs if you'd like that as a project "Blaze" is quite a deep one.. would be great to see you do a video for that on your channel.. let me know if you ever do.. it can be just cool moody shots of places and things if you like, that would give you a cool first project to do on your phone.. we have a film studio in our hand . with better cameras than Hollywood used to have, built into our phones.. and editing software in apps like inshot that we can use to create videos and films.. and we learn best on basic equipment as that makes us focus on the basics like good framing of a shot which is a FUNDAMENTAL skill to build up and we only get good at something by trying.. so keep on trying! don't wait til you get on a course.. just start making cool video clips, they don't have to have actors or scripts, just get used to making things around you look cool in shots and edits etc, creating moods and vibes i might do that too when i think about it! Thanks for getting me thinking about this more The best thing to do is just to try to do what you want in life, sometimes we need to earn though as it is not easy for people to support you all the time so that's why they get concerned about money maybe.. maybe they are struggling to keep paying bills and just don't want to tell you good luck Best wishes from Rolland ..at Castle Hassall.. on the edge of The Atlantic..

I did some films for school, I’m writing a book, I’ve written some scripts for short films I’m trying to get made this summer with some friends. I think it’s great. Maybe then I’ll put on the others (that I find a bit less interesting AND that are in french). And I’m not seeing people that see the world differently as enemies. I really appreciate my parents who felt that it was a bad choice for me to go into that direction but that still let me do it. I’m not saying they are totally into it, though, but they still try the best they can to make me do something they don’t understand. idk what you're trying to imply with this but from my understanding as someone who is on anti-psychotics, the idea is not to restrict or reduce delusion, but instead reduce the chance that the chemical balance of your brain doesn't fall out of normal realms into mania, psychosis or other such mindstates that are not compatible with normal society. It isn't about removing the delusion found in those suffering from mania or psychosis. Instead, it seeks to remove the ability for the brain to pursue those delusions without a sense of reason or connection to reality.

i really needed this, i feel like it was a sign from the universe to keep going because yesterday I started my art account and my other art friends kept telling me what to do and what not to do, criticising my art sometimes... and with this whole ai bs,, yet I'm not discouraged. This motivated me even more to not stop even if it seems scary, thank you!!

This video comforts me. Right now I feel caught in-between two ideas of where to go with my life that are, for all intense and purposes, crazy and delusional. One i only have so much time to pursue, the other pretty much my whole life to pursue. Both of them are met with disapprovel from some of my friends and even family, but others also think i should do it. And all the while i keep thinking i have to chose one or the other. But you know what: life is short, so why not try to do both while i'm able too, and if it doesn't work out, so what? At least i wouldn't regret never doing it at all!
@progressful
@progressful 21 күн бұрын
It’s never a bad idea to do both as long as you know where you are prioritizing your time. Even 1 hour a day on one of those activities over time can go such a long way. I wish you good luck!

Thank you, I love your contents man, keep it up! There is always a main character that has delusional goal in those Shounen stories. But somehow we forgot about the essence of those stories, about the power that we have in our hands. Just like Guy Ritchie said:"You must be the master of your own kingdom", we can control our actions to create our reality, so why don't be a delusional person but happy to decide his/her value rather than a "REALISTIC" person who limits his/her own belief, gives him/herself a reason to not do sth? STEP OUTSIDE YOUR COMFORT ZONE AND DEAL WITH THE UNKNOWN!!!!

I follow @PaulWeller on here. He was frontman and songwriter for The Jam and The Style Council and has just released his umpteenth solo album and is still touring in his 60s. If someone had told him growing up on a council estate in the UK in the 70s that there was no point in trying and he believed them ( because that's often the mentality) what would have happened? We'd have lost decades of great music.
