TL;DW Furakawa, the president of Nintendo, stated that a switch successor will be announced THIS FISCAL YEAR. There WILL be a June direct, as he confirmed, but that will focus on the switches 2024 lineup for the latter half of the year. No mention of it will happen.

they didn’t say no announcement in June. Just not during the Direct. I’m guessing the June Direct will be it’s own thing and then there’s going to be a teaser trailer for the console either as part of Summer Games Fest or the teaser trailer will just shadow drop sometime in June or July. But yeah. The big reveal event will probably be in September/October as the Fall Direct. I doubt we’re going to have to wait beyond March 2025 to get the console on store shelves and in our hands.

What I'm guessing after June's Direct: -September Direct for Switch Games coming out in the first half of 2025 prior to the Switch's successor -October or November: First teaser for the new system -January or February 2025: Presentation on new system and titles coming to the system -Q1 2025 (almost 40 years after the NES was released) with March at the latest: new system released.

I have not experienced a new Nintendo console launch since I was 4 years old and i wasn't really exited because i barely new what games were I think the only games I played were Mario galaxy and Mario kart Wii and most of the time I just watched my uncle play them. now... now I will truly understand that feeling when a new console is announced (I cant believe we have had nothing since November I think it was that time anyway)...

There’s NO way Nintendo announces games in this June direct that are launch titles for Switch 2. Why would they hype up audiences for games coming to an unannounced platform and say “we know it’s June 2024, but in *2025* you can buy Super Mario: Adventure and Mario Kart X! Oh btw here’s a port of Xenoblade X and uhhhhh Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time HD for the next 6 months of 2024 bye bye”. They still have holiday 2024 to get through, they don’t wanna confuse normies and stifle sales of Switch 1 and games. It’s going to be all small games and remakes and probably ONE actually new interesting semi-large game for the end of 2024.

7:19 I have to redo my Second File of BOTW from the Start that I spent the past couple of years on. Apparently if you Wrong Warp to the Final Trial and start the One-Hit Obliviator Questline BEFORE you get the Champion Abilities then Those Divine Beasts are permanently inaccessible. Also word of Advice, If you want to Wrong Warp to every Shrine then two areas must be accessed Organically otherwise those Shrine get barred off. The Shrine at Hebra Peak normally has Ice over the Terminal. Wrong Warp removes the Ice but doesn't activate the Terminal like what would normally occur. Wrong Warping to Zora's Domain Permanently Erases the Ceremonial Trident from that Save unless you have already obtained it.

I'm going off my earlier bet that we'll get a proper announcement for the Switch 2 in early June, with a Direct/Direct mini coming at the end of June. They said the successor wouldn't be announced in the Direct, *not* in June, so it's still possible. But, that doesn't mean games for the Switch 2 will be announced in the Direct, as those games will would've been announced in the Switch 2's presentation

Guys, I suggest you to keep the expectations for the Direct in check, because aside Retro Studios every major first and second party studios of Nintendo has released something in the last two years and half, so they're working on the next console right now, and as such, I wouldn't expect anything for the rest of the year. Only Retro Studios hasn't released anything recentely, and we know they're working on Metroid Prime 4, so that game is the only hope for this Direct.

Idk I'm sick of re-releases lately. The ads for "a new paper mario experience" & its the freaking gamecube game, I was hoping would go down in price a lil, but they had to re-release it.

This is a great way of creating a buz for the next direct, without selling out the current switch totally. The switch 2 could still come out 2026 for all we know so making buying a current switch not a risk. They made the best move without actually announcing the new console/system.
