It’s go time on the allotment

2 ай бұрынThe weather has finally warmed up in the UK so now everything is going in at the allotment. Today I planted green beans grown at home, more potatoes and sowed more peas.

Thanks, we have 2 allotments next to each other although they are not as big as traditional allotments. I have never measured the whole area but i would guess its equivalent to around 5 rods. It is a great space and I have lots of plans to make the most of the space but it does take years to learn what works and slowly update the layout.

It all May-hem at the moment but looking amazing. Are you still having trouble with rabbits? Hope it cools a bit it was 31+c here in SW Canada for the last few days but it’s cooled a bit 20c. Have a marvellous week, Ali 🌞🇨🇦

I have fences around most of what is planted so far so the rabbits have not caused any problems this year so far, the potato beds are currently open but once they are planted with grass clippings on they have left them alone luckily. We had a hot weekend but its back under 20 degrees now with lots of rain forecast but hopefully warm enough to start planting more out.
