Sometimes life just takes over and we forget about what’s important. As someone who works and lives alone while travelling, I often have to stop what I’m doing and contact people I love and make sure they know I’m thinking about them.

My mother passed away a couple weeks ago i've had these same thoughts since that day, strange how things happen.

I lost almost everything when I lost the love of my life but I found everything again when I started helping others with whatever I have been blessed with. And I realized that this is the only way to get through any kind of pain.

I'm sorry for your loss. I work full-time at night, have 3 teenager sons, and I recently brought my Grandmother home with us, and take care of her full-time in the day. A lot of ppl told me not to, because it would be hard. Well, it is, but you know what, at least she is here with family. I would suffer a thousand years rather than not bring her home with us and give her the honor and dignity she deserves in her time of need and her last days. I have not always been a real outgoing ppl person, but I am a caregiver and I recently started allowing more ppl in my life because without others in it, it isn't a life worth living. Thank you for sharing with us as always.

I love what you said about not getting caught up in the bullsh*t and remembering about what truly is important. For me, I often let my career and petty problems get the best of me but then I have moments like these where things gets put into perspective and I remember we are only a speckle in the span of eternity and our lives here on earth is best lived serving others instead of ourselves. I think at the end of the day, knowing that I am loved and pursued by a God who created me for a purpose is what gives me hope, it makes life seem meaningful and purposeful after all!
