Spain was great, but England absolutely sucks 😂😂. And England deserves this for keeping south gate after last tournament. So happy they didn’t win lol. Time to get a proper coach and y’all might actually win something. England genuinely has one of the best overall squads in the world. And have won nothing.

To my mind, Kane was the problem for England the whole tournament. He played so deep, got in everybody's way, and contributed nothing that others couldn't have. When you have forwards of Eze, Watkins, Gordon, Palmer, Saka, Foden, Bellingham the movement and inventiveness up front should be amazing. Instead it looked so incredibly static and that was completely on Kane. Didn't hate Rice as much as you did, I thought he was making some great interceptions, winning ball and getting us on the front foot. Others were just giving it away immediately.

Rice offensively though was awful a huge reason the attacking players struggled because he can barely pass it forward and when he does it's slow and too obvious we need a midfielder who can mix it up Rice is one dimensional

@@Airyed Rice is, at heart, an amazing DM but one who is progressively adding a ton to his game (which is exciting). The problem is that England has no real playmaker to play beside him. If they ever get that they'll be pretty damn good. And that's no particular slight on Mainoo who I thought did very well with the abilities that he has, he's just not a playmaker.

England is a team you’d make in your head as like a dream team yet somehow still struggle so much. It’s definitely southgate. Kane wasn’t to blame either he needs someone like son to feed him balls so he can play like a proper striker. Kane having to drop so deep into mid he’s literally doing way too much as a striker. England needed faster and more aggressive play style the fact that he didn’t start Palmer, Toney, and Watkins is crazy.

Idk going in I thought Spain had the strongest squad. Best holding midfielder in the game, tons of blossoming young talent that’s been playing together for a while now. Experienced players that play a role well. And savvy vets like morata to round the squad out. Gonna be the team to beat for years. A very complete squad that, like you said, works well as a unit. Not just the best players thrown together.

I don't get this narrative England fans are pushing that Spain's squad isn't that good. They're a fantastic side and I knew from the first time I saw them play they were highly likely to win the tournament. They just looked quicker and deadlier than every other side.

They just don’t have the ‘PR’ for lack of a better word. They are all incredibly brilliant, even the ones that weren’t selected for the euro squad like Cubarsi (who will play in the Olympics) and Gavi/Balde (due to injuries) indicate to me that Spain will be among the heavy favourites for the upcoming tournaments. And additionally, their style of play fits their footballing culture down to the nth degree. As long as they play like that, they will do well.

*Vibes alone. Ancelotti won with Real Madrid but "allowed" players to play how comfortable they're comfortable and not force defensive tactics on them. His players are "allowed" to express themselves and Ance made the right subs in the right time. Southgate neither allowed players to express themselves nor made the right subs...

Frankly, I cannot see any PL team outside those that might get into an "unexpected" relegation battle giving Southgate a chance late in the season. He presided over some dreadfully pedestrian football, at best, like watching Middlesborough wearing the 3 Lions kit. I don't see him being able to survive the rigors of weekly matches, which explains why he only coached for 3 rather lukewarm years at club level and has been milking the national teams ever since.

A lot of this is due to the terrible attacking system that Southgate has, England has too much talent to only have 35% of the ball. If England didn't have as good of a draw they would've been out in the quarterfinals. Not a top four team in the tournament.

Completely disagree with the bellinghma statement. I think we saw from him as we have done for the real madrid. Because lets be honest the only games we saw of him were the semi final legs and city and then obviously the final, and what did he do? Fuck all. What did he do in this competition? Fuck all.
