Fun fact. 2nd part of this database is FIFA Nations League. San Marino starts on 6th tier and in my simulations usually wins a bunch to actually get promoted to 5th

Would be interesting to pay attention to and watch, but god would it be a logistical NIGHTMARE..so there is absolutely NO shot of this happening in the near future :P Also, how I understood Zealand did this, the teams travelled to home and away matches, and that would just add to the tally :P

@@roccociccone597 I don't think it's totally Spalletti's fault, he clearly didn't understand shit in every match we played, but surely the mindset of the players didn't help at all. Apart from few exceptions like donnarumma, chiesa, calafiori or zaccagni, all the players didn't seem to have neither faith nor will to win the games. This national team has been a disappointment under many aspects.

@@regrubcivals2954 of course but I think with the right coach you can get a lot out of these players. Soakletti’s archaic rules probably killed the will of the players and any motivation they brought. I think that’s what happened. Because in their respective clubs these players are pretty darn good and usually don’t have motivational problems. You’d be surprised how much the coach can change a team. @@regrubcivals2954 players attitude is a reflection of the coach, a great coach instills inspiration and drive to the players , spalletti failed to do that and on top of that kept playing the players on wrong positions with wrong formation and favorizing di lorenzo who was abysmal instead of bellanova or even darmian (which also got played in his wrong position)

Should do an eliminator version. Round 1 - lowest world ranking vs 2nd lowest world ranking Round 2 - 3rd lowest world ranking vs winner of round 1. See who gets the longest winning streak

I unironically want to see this as the world cup qualification format. Like, yeah sure maybe fix the drawing and seeding but other than that seeing continental underdog vs another continent underdog sounds very interesting

@@magicaces13 the only downside i can see from this format is that by the time it's the final 32, there's a real chance the only team that will be playing are like european and african teams, and if that is the case, can it really still be called a "world cup?"

I was hoping someone would do a sort of regional or continental cup. Like let’s take regions like Scandinavia for instance where each team can only draft say 7 players max from each country and try to make the best squad out of it as it competes with other regions. I know this can get politically murky, like North and South Korea or even worse right now with Russia Ukraine. But I think someone could find a sensitive way to pull it off.

Zealand! first off, thank you! I have been following u and ur content for years. Thanks to u I actually made the decision to get a coaching gig. Now im a youth coach for IFK Skövde. Headcoach of the 15 years old and assistent coach to the 16 years old. Anyway. if u ever feel like u dont know what save to start next, it would be fun to see you start one in the swedish 2nd div. and take IFK skövde all the way to europa leauge. Fm 24 is actually the first year IFK Skövde made their way in to fm. and as of now we are leading the leauge and are set to be promoted if we keep it up the rest of the season.

Amazing simulation. In the 3rd and 4th rounds I decided to pause the vid and choose which 4 teams I thought would make it through each group. I got 22/32 in 3rd round and 10/16 in 4th round.

Norways run topping the 2 first groupstages and making it out of to very hard groups after that, to then knock out booth Belgium and Spain in the knockouts is both shocking and sad to see when the real team can’t even qualify.

In the first mass qualifying round, Canada scored 40 goals to Kenya's 33, and allowed 12 to Kenya's 21, yet Kenya got one more win. I'm curious how their head to head match was. Plus wondering when these games were played, and if weather was a factor. Not surprisingly, Edmonton hosted Mexico's coldest ever match. I'd be curious if you'll ever do a Canada FROZEN TUNDRA World Cup. Not for anything more than fun of course.

So how does it work? Do you play it alongside the domestic leagues over a season or can you start without leagues and just play the tournament? Edit: I started a game with Scotland with just the Scottish league on (which starts July 2023) and the first three rounds are already over (and Scotland are out...shocker). Seems it starts March 2022. So how do I get to start then? Or is there a way to schedule it to start with a new game?
