Probably best to apply for a 60 day visa in home country (they may take note of this?) ..then hit up the nearest Thai customs to extend another 30 days. Three months is a good enough time for me to further check out possible retirement areas…….. and while there’s still good weather check out some neighbouring countries the next few months, Thereafter return (fly in) for another 60 day visa (this time on arrival) & extend for another 30 days! Sure wish they had this last year! Cheers

Nice for the long-term stayers. Absolute rubbish for the frequent Thailand visitors. I was 2 times in Thailand this year, combined 10 days, spent some good money in those days. My plan was to repeat this one more time, and that's now a no-go. Basically they send away the people who will spend the most money per day. I love Thailand, do't get me wrong, but visa-wise, I'm much better off in Cambodia. Just like the last time, I get my 6 month retirement visa. All I need is my passport, no documentation, pay the agent about 180 USD (plus the 42 for the E-type online) and done.

So you can only come to Thailand twice a year? I come every 3 weeks for 5 nights on my days off work, can I still do this?
@BuzzinpattayaАй бұрын
Via air entry yes mate it's only land crossings

QUESTION; if I'm traveling the middle of January I haven't bought my airline ticket yet. What are the chances they will keep it as 60 days by January? I don't want to buy a plane ticket for 60 days and they change the rules back to 30 days.

Doubt this will be reversed

I was there for a 14 days trip in April and on return to UK, booked 28 days arriving 28th August, prior to these changes. I have a return ticket booked. Am I able to simply stay for the additional days and just change my return date or do I have to inform immigration?

Morning lads… just thinking I’ve seen in your previous vids about getting a Thai licence and a Thai bank account on a tourist visa as long as at least 20 days remain? With the new visa exemption rules, can it be done on this 60 VE or does it require a ACTUAL visa ?

Just go to Vietnam and get 90 days without all the hastle 🤔

Are you sure? Vietnam's visa exemption is only for 26 countries, and max is using 45 days for Western countries. From what I can see.
@Chris-em1siАй бұрын
@@nowandrew4442 Vietnam has a 90 day eVisa - $25 for single entry, $50 for multiple entry. Basic requirements to receive the visa. Alternatively, they have 45 day visa exempt.

I'm confused now. I only come for 3 weeks at a time so if I can now only visit twice per year, this new rule is terrible news

Thanks for the info. I have two passports - Russia and USA. If I rotate them will I be able to take advantage of 4 x 60-day exemptions, two in each passports? Does an immigration officer have a way to see my other passport in the system (biometric data?) and find out I am essentially the same person?

Why would you want to stay 60 days usually there’s no money left after 2 weeks if you’re having a great time with the girls 🎉
