In that field at the start I expected to see Merry & Pippin to come tumbling out of that long grass, being chased by Farmer Maggot! 🧑🏻‍🌾 Not surprised that a Cornishman's stomach was upset by a Devon pasty! 🤢 🤣 That was such an emotional end to the video! Massive congratulations to you Tom on such an amazing human achievement, and to you too Izzy! 👏👏👏👏👏

I walked the East Coast, John,o Grotes to Dover. I packed my job in. I decided to do the walk before looking for any more work, so I was in no hurry, took me two months look back on it as one of the best things I have done l followed the coast in the summer.

@@martprice7726 that's pretty much my approach to the coming trek, I'm looking at leaving the rented house I'm in, quitting work if I can't get leave, then just going for it! Nothing more cathartic than casting aside all encumbrances!

Congratulations Tom 🎉on completing John O’Groats to Lands End walk. It puts travel into perspective when you consider that maybe only 150 years ago few people would have had the opportunity to go anywhere except on foot. How you existed on mainly noodles I do not know. Better feed yourself up really well for the next few months! Excellent support walk from Izzy who somehow always seemed to get the worst weather and the toughest sections & without Tom’s conditioning. You make a great team 😊

Incredible! After walking through some serious sh*t, figuratively and literally, you have reached a glorious, victorious achievement. You both earned your pasties! Congratulations on every hard-won mile. You have proved two things: you are incredibly tough and hardy, and Britain is amazingly wild and beautiful. I love how you supported each other, and I admire how you took it on the chin at times but still found ways to bounce back and enjoy what you were doing. I will say the most British thing I can come up: well done.

Huge congratulations to both of you for a huge achievement! Not only overcame very challenging terrain, distance, kit problems and health setbacks, but you were also faced with some of the worst weather we have experienced in a long time. All extremely heroic and displayed an amazing determination. I must also remark on the incredible videos produced by Tom. How he manages to handle the drone and cameras is beyond me ... and then he somehow does some fabulous editing in generally pretty primitive conditions. Let's hope you continue your adventures and share them with us, but whatever you decide I hope you have a great future and giving me, for one, a regular lift in spirits in a not very inspiring world. 😄

Nice to see you doing so well walking the length of the country. Did you ever hear of Dr Barbara Moore, a vegetarian Russian born British citizen, who walked from Edinburgh to London in 7 days during the 1960s ? You reminded me of her. She made headlines when I was a kid. She believed she'd live to be 150 at least following her extreme vegetarian diet. She walked across the USA, also long distance in Australia to prove her point. Following various court battles over what seems trivial matters, she lost the will to live at age 74 tragically and died bankrupt spending her life savings on solicitors, barristers. As a child I was fascinated by her energy and ability to walk so far. Check her out yourselves, if you haven't done so already.

Fantastic achievement Tom, congratulations and Isa, I am so happy for you, the emotions and experiences you must have had, especially alone in Scotland and Lake district, those places are what it is to be alive, the luxury of setting the tent up in bitter wet weather and boiling up some food at night, is all you need, so little footage people would not believe that you had walked the distance, I hope you can make a few more long videos of the hidden footage when you get around to it, ( I, We need to see them ) I have slipped a disc and swung on a rope swing into a shallow river landing on a rock putting me out of any activity for this winter and no hiking! or for good! but lets hope not!
