With the help of Greg, Hannah, Kevin, Mel and Miguel, we knocked this dynamite Jewel Box out in just three days.
I spend a good deal of time shopping for plants, pots , garden art and curating rock and fire glass prior to ground break, but you get the idea!
Thanks to our lovely client, Julie for entrusting us with her garden space.
We had a blast.
Greg and I will be heading up to LA tomorrow to spend a couple of days with Succulent Baby, Lucy, before taking off for the Ranch.
We haven’t been up to the property since November and we are very excited to decompress, relax and renew before heading back down to San Diego mid June.

I remember you once said, Laura, that the small, intimate garden spaces are your forte and it is the truth! Not that you and your team don't do magnificent work on large jobs, but when you have just planter beds or small planting pockets scattered throughout a larger, paved area, you make every spot magical, and this entry and courtyard is no exception. This entire installation sings! 😍There are so many charming touches to discover--I love how willing you are to work with your clients' prized items and fit them so intentionally into the landscape you design! This is absolutely stunning! I love all the Palo Verde chips. I would love to see in installation that was mainly all those blue chips with a black ribbon through it. That would be so cool and unique. That euphorbia snowflake is the most stunning one I've ever seen. What an amazing utilization of a small space. Good job team DFS!

It’s just gorgeous! What you finished in front is perfect. The cactus blooming pink is so beautiful! I have one I my front yard that just finished blooming the same color multiple blooms nature is so giving! Another fantastic team win!

Especially appreciate the varied heights of plants, pot stands, pots, and gutters against the white wall. Hannah your slow glide videography over the entire project is excellent. We like to linger and see the details of the tapestries. Go Team DFS.

Good morning. It’s Sunday I have just started listening to a new Podcast. Parched. I’ll link it to you. I kind of think all your followers and clients could be introduced to this. Because. It is coming to California. And really soon. We have just done a beautiful xeric no grass yard and an additional half acre hillside which was NOT maintained by the association. So now we pay for it. And they all look gorgeous. And when the mega drought returns and water gets turned off or down. It’ll look good. And that is what you teach and espouse in every corner of You tube. I am so grateful to watch and learn. And you have a big megaphone to change hearts and minds. This podcast will help.

The extra that you did in front is beautiful.I do have to say , there is a lot going on the back for such a small space.I feel like it’s all the small pots and stuff she has ,that make it overwhelming .At the end of the day, it’s her home so if she’s happy , well that’s what matters.
