“If God doesn’t want this for you, why do you want it?” “If God wants this for you, why would you not want it?👌

Today I decide that God is the one who's going to write my love story. Not even me, not my friends, not all the advices of the World - even though some of them are good, I will choose God advice for my life. I want what God wants for me.

My husband always likes to ask couples these 2 questions when they are considering engagement or marriage, “Do you glorify God better together or separate?” And “Are you better for the kingdom of God together or separate?” I feel like you both constantly have that in mind and put that ahead of your feelings! So amazing so see.

My sweet daughter thought she would never be asked out. Then when God sent her her man,she didn’t want him at first. I believe she was scared to share her heart. 3 months later they were married! They are so precious together, such a blessing to witness it.

My pastor regularly tells me, ‘Instead of trying to figure out what God is doing in our lives, remember Isaiah 55:8-9. We can not know God’s ways, for they are higher than our ways.” I think we should pray for wisdom and seek counsel, above trying to ask God to reveal what he wants us to do. We will know when he is ready. :)

I would love to hear more from johnny about the dangers of marrying a person in your mind and idealizing someone in your head!! i struggle with that a lot

This is such a cute story - he definitely has good plans for us. I'm 23 and never been asked on a date, and sometimes I wrestle with the fact that I might never get married, but stories like this are so wholesome. Congrats guys. ❤️

Ashley is continually hugging Johnny. She is going to be a loving, supportive wife. Johnny was so patient and rely on God to chose his wife .It beautiful when God has his hands on relationships because ,he want us to be love correctly . He wants it to last forever and the only way is with God in the middle.

Im 48 and my fiancé broke off our engagement. Ive always tried to do things my way but now Im letting God write my love story. Right now Im going through the process of healing and restoration but I know God is preparing me to be used for his kingdom and my future marriage.

what's beautiful about your story is that you both went through growth seperately, overcame your fears and moments of doubt, loneliness and pain, to then consciously *choose* love, which is what brought you guys together in the end. that's choosing Him, chosing God. God is love.

Awwww you guys are so gorgeous together! I can totally relate to what you were saying Ash as I was indecisive about my husband too. I knew I liked him as a friend when we met, I admired him on an intellectual, physical and emotional level, but I just didn't know if I wanted to date him. I even said after our first "date" that we were not boyfriend/girlfriend lol. Before I met him, I was travelling overseas, starting a new chapter in my life after finishing university and working in the job I loved, and did alot of soul searching with myself and God. But then through our short friendship, and a rejected proposal (I actually laughed thinking he was joking!), I realised in a moment (he did something to help me which blew me away) that I couldn't spend another day without him. I now WANTED to be his wife! So, I also had reservations because he wasn't really the type of guy I'd normally date either, he lived overseas and I was worried we would be a holiday romance. Cut a long story short, 2 months later, were were married and he stayed here in Australia with me. We're now, by the grace of God, married 21 years (22 this year, thank you Jesus!), 2 kids, had ups and downs over the course of our life together, but I would do it all over again in the same way. I too wasn't sure, so I'm so glad you didn't rush it. Johnny preached to me when he said he didn't want to make you an idol, and focused on his relationship with God, and God made sure it all happened in His right timing. I pray that God gives my husband and I many more years together, and gives you and Johnny a beautiful life together for many years too! Congratulations and God bless you both!

He put us in the same place so we'd meet 2 times...we didn't end up talking and so God put us together a THIRD time when I literally ended up working at the same small store as he did. This was really such a fantastic video. I pray that every young person or really anyone who desires to be married can somehow find this video because you both have shown what it means to desire God's will above your own & in doing that He will give you exactly what you need. Because you can be with the right person in the wrong season and that can destroy the beauty of how things can be. But you were both willing to walk away and He brought you guys back together in the right season and look at how happy and glowing you both are. I was really struggling and I asked God to show me how to keep boundaries and tried to find verses when Jesus made boundaries to people. This word has blessed me so much. God has confirmed who my husband is and had also confirmed it with him as well but we are both in that refining and preparation stage. I’ve been struggling lately with the thought that it shouldn’t be this difficult, that if it was truly from Him it would play out like those nice fairy tales we think we want. But I’m reminded that it’s all for His glory and with every blessing comes trials and difficulties to grow us and build our character and our FAITH and so He can get all the credit when the promise comes to pass. When we learn to hear the incognitive (inaudible) voice of God ... patience is the key. When you are under pressure to take a decision, then you have lost God in that process. "He that believes doesn't make haste" Allowing God to work things out may require dealing with idols of the heart, fears, insecurities etc until an assuring peace of mind from the Lord envelopes you. This is the first time I come across your channel and I love the story God is writing for ya'll. I am going on 2 years being married to a man that I know was God sent. I wanted to thank you both for sharing your journey because it is true, things are not always like a fairytale. We go through hardships and trials, but God is constantly teaching and refining us. I used to think that everyone always lives a honeymoon life during the courting and after being married. I now realize that God helps us and gives us what we need instead of the things we want because it's not always the best. His plans are definitely bigger and better than our own. There are many things you both mentioned in the video and they are answered prayers for me. Even after marriage I'm still learning a lot. God bless you and may the good Lord's peace be upon you both, always. Proverbs 18:22 He who finds a wife finds what is good and receives favor from the LORD. Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. He wasn't godly and it would just lead to destruction. I have love for him still but I know this break up is God's doing. What Johnny said really impacted me. This video kept getting into my KZfaq feed so when I finally had the time, I watched it! And wow! I am blessed! I started tearing up when you talked about speaking at an event together for the very first time and it felt so right! It just assures my own convictions that marriage makes people even more productive together in the ministry! My hubby and I have served together in a small church which I feel that the Lord has continued to call us to serve at and thank God for the affirmation from people of how they’re blessed with our hearts to mentor the younger generation (not my words, it’s theirs 😅). The lord must have lead me to come and watch this, I can definitely relate to your emotions Ash, I was indecisive about my partner... I was so young 17 when we met and was not certain about whether I was feeling emotions of god ordained love towards my partner or if I was having an emotional attachment to him like johnny noted. My partner and I also had a 1.5month break and I struggled alot battling with my feelings and whether I should continue pursuing a friendship between my partner and I... Long story short I had just been accepted to participate in an overseas exchange for 1 year, which I felt would have been restrictive of my partner if I was to say I'd like us to consider being more than friends, I thought by me opening up and allowing myself to deepen my feelings I could end up losing an awesome person I'd know or getting my heart broken whilst I lived abroad because we were together physically.But the lord had different plans, my partner and I began speaking again and started spending more time together again and things went back to how they were very good times lots of bible studies together meals and time together within our church worshipping/praising Jesus for his love. One day we were together and the question was asked and we started dating. Fast forward now to 2022 we are 21 and I'll be turning 22 this year. Lots of hardships and learning leaps with the lord. But so much joy and peace amongst it all. I am thankful Jesus led me to be more faithful to him and to trust in him even when I did not understand. Holy spirit has been my comforter through it all.

It was with a lot of emotions that I watched your video from France...I saw exactly what you describe, God showed her to me as "the only one", we had a short and wonderful relationship of a few months, our families and friend were aware then "separation without reason" from her, and for several months no news coming directly from her (fortunately the holy spirit speaks to me about it from time to time)... It is in this context of lack of his person that I asked God again to speak to me and I found you on the internet. I don't know what to say other than "thank you". Thank you for sharing with us who you are with a lot of transparency without wanting to play a role (the model Christian couple) but on the contrary by showing your ups, your downs, your expectations, your misunderstandings, your apprehensions and finally your love (which is just divine and beautiful to see). Thanks for showing us who you really are. It is with confidence that I ask the holy spirit to collaborate with you ever more crazy and uncomfortable at the beginning but wonderful and blessing for many at the end of each adventure with him. Thank you for having dared to testify. I love you fraternally, who knows we will meet "The only one", me, the holy spirit and you, one day, here below or in the company of Jesus in paradise... So glad I watched this. I can relate to Ashley. I did not want to fully admit my feelings recently but this really helped. I was delating the conversation but similar to Ashley and Johnny, I found myself thinking about this person even when I tried hard to forget. Why is it so hard to admit our feelings? It is fear? Thank you so much for sharing this experience. God led me to this video for a lesson. I proposed to a girl from my church a week and half ago and she’s honest to tell me that she’s confused and need sometime. What hurts the most right now is that we’ve stopped communicating. As Johnny said, it’s dangerous to visualize someone as your wife when they are not. I have been communicating with God about her from the very first moment I picked interest. Right now, I’m seeking God’s wisdom and praying for His perfect will. I really have no one to talk to about what I’m going through. Not comfortable to discuss it with any of my pastors since we worship in the same church and serve in the same unit. I feel better after watching this video. Hi Coffee and Bible Time, new subscriber here ☺️ Your video appeared on my home page… the title made me click on your video to watch it! This was a perfect timing as I’m in this hardest situation in my life. My boyfriend and I broke up as of 3 weeks ago! A lot of up and downs, in the past, he have shared his feelings towards and I told him that was not ready for a relationship! Few months later, I developed feelings to him and mention it to him as my brother told gave me the advice to follow my heart which I did. The day I have shared my feelings, he had always loved me even if we were best friends at the time and our past history. We have been together for 8 months, happy, sad moments, a lot of up and downs but our love never faded along the way! He broke up with me as there was complications in our relationship, I did love him but somehow I couldn’t open myself to him entirely in the relationship. Trust me, he really did love me and he still does even after the breakup! He have mentioned that i was his match for me to be his wife but that one only thing that blocked it was that my heart couldn’t be open entirely in the relationship! At the beginning of the relationship, he had received a confirmation from God saying that the relationship will be difficult and that he would try everything to keep it “alive” but without success! As for me, I still have huge love for him and I still hope there will be a change but it was the hardest breakup ever dealt with as he was perfect for me even with his flaws and that our relationship was based from our friendship as we were best friends ! We still are best friends even after the breakup but we’ve never wished bad things for each other and finished the relationship in a good note despite the hurt, the cries, the sadness! One thing mentioned that I kept in your video, is that if God wanted to happened He will make a way! And if not, why would I have to keep it! I’m still hurt, and started my healing process! I decided to leave my heart, my emotions, feelings and wanting to be in an relationship in God’s hands and also keeping my walk with the Lord to grow and keeping my ex into my prayers everyday I don’t know if you have any suggestions, thoughts, please feel free God bless and keep the work for the Kingdom going… Can’t wait to watch your other contents ☺️🙏🏾
