So excited to see the Rebutia has rooted. We have one that has bloomed prolifically for three years. Nice to know, I may be able to remove it from the graft. Thanks for doing this experiment. 🥰

Your garden looks great Laura. I absolutely love your videos. So glad your feeling better!! When I purchased my Meyer tree, the Gardner said to fertilize quarterly.

I didn’t have much hope for that sad mangave way back when but I’m surprised by its comeback! I’ve missed these walk abouts. I’m glad everyone is doing better!

Laura, I had a fruit tree specialist look at my potted Meyer’s lemon and Bearss limes last year. He suggested fertilizing once a month with citrus fertilizer. Since I’ve started doing that they are doing so much better. I still have some leaf miner, but I don’t want to use even organic methods to get rid of them as even they kill butterflies. I’m not going to contribute to killing pollinators. He also said don’t plant anything underneath them. I had succulents under them before. Now I keep them mulched so they look “finished” but no more succulents underneath them as it is too much competition for them. You will need to practice “restraint” with your citrus trees now.😉

15:15 - I'm no aloe specialist either, but I used to have that same plant, albeit in 2008. lol 😂 But it was from Walter Andersen nursery (the Old Town/Midway/Pt. Loma location), and labeled as _Aloe wickensii_ - I've since not been able to find another one anywhere. Really wanted a more mature specimen. It's kind of a slow grower needless to say.

Hey Laura... I have an Improved Meyer Lemon and only get ripe fruit in the winter. It spends Spring and Summer producing the flowers and fruit but does not produce fruit all year. I know my lemons are ripe when they have a slight orange tinge on the skin from the mandarin orange parent cross. I can't remember if you have added Calcium or not to your tree but I sometimes have to add it to my citrus trees, especially if we have had a low rainy season. Your garden is just so beautiful... I could spend an hour or two in it just discovering all of the treasures that you have tucked in here and there. Happy Holidays to you and I am so grateful that you are feeling better!

Laura I have the same improved Meyer Lemon tree in a pot. It has struggled for several years and has not produced much fruit either. No blooms right now. It loses many blooms especially during our winds in Ontario. It's hard to give her up. Like all our plants, we don't give up until the bitter end! The yard looks fantastic!

Your lemon is going through a ton of nutrients so if it's been a bit since fertilizing, it could probably use it again💛

Nice walkabout! That lime tree is prolific so you may have to find some more recipes! I put my variegated string of pearls in shady area to have dark variegation color and prevent fading. Love the clam and Ursula!

I had to laugh at your bucket of leaves. I was gone for a week and leaf cleanup took 4 hours and I had 6 compressed bag fills. Then the wind came overnight and brought some more 😅 The garden looks great glad to see you back ✌🏼🌿

Hi Laura Your plants are well and truly settled. Love the lemon and lime trees. Why not treat yourself and buy a more established grapefruit tree? You deserve it. Bentley is so loyal. My part of the uk is covered in snow...but there is also treacherous ice patches. Hope you are well🎄😘🎄😘

For any plant that suffered from chlorosis you must provide iron at least once a month.

Gorgeous!! 😍 Do you think that the euphorbia from Cullen might rot at the bottom? Because of all the rain with no roots? I have a piece I'm trying to root but it's taking forever...😬
