So, an altar with the free expression of purpose and personal intention, then. Not a worry about whether it follows a set of rules or that it may be judged by others. Which, I have to admit, inside I’m thinking, “Am I doing this right?” When, it should be more of a focus of creation that happens organically and with your deity/element/card/magick in mind. Making a solitary altar, unique, doing the workings, and, also, realizing that the disassembly is an acknowledgement of a ritual, well accomplished. Brilliant! ❤ Thank you!

I did recently some re arranging on 1 of the living room dressers (if that is the right word) it started to feel a bit messy and empty. I am not sure if it is a real altar, its not for practicing something. Mainly for the appealing visuals. I have 2 dressers, both dressed up as nice visual places. On this one i have a picture and the ashes of my beloved pet i had to let asleep last year. And i like to burn a candle next to her picture aswell. Stones, shells, candles, artworks... All the goodies stuff. 😄 Just to make it pretty for personal purposes. Next to youtube and pinterest i dont have any other social media. In the past i would have wanted to proudly share the personal creations i made for/in my home. But since my selflove journey took off.... I prefer to keep these things for myself. The whole world doesnt need to know about my authentic style. For a long time i wasnt able to display my spiritual/witchy intrests in my own home. But i am finally comfortabele enough to do so. Maybe these 'altars' are the witnesses of that growth. 😊 Thank you for sharing your knowledge, have a safe traveling when you head back home.

I’ve been coming from a space of “wanting to do it right” and not connecting with altars or not even starting because I felt it had t be a certain way, look a certain way or be something huge. I actually have been doing this for years and didn't even know it had a specific purpose I use my cards for the deities I work with and concentrate on the energy of the card.
