@saldomino1639 how much do you know about sharpening? Much less bladesteel?
@saldomino16392 ай бұрын
A lot ! I have a lot of sharpeners I don’t use the same sharpeners because every knife is different with its composition so if you are happy with your sharpeners than use them I have been using sharpens best sharpeners for about two years now they work for me as I said I don’t use the same sharpener for every knife because I know my knives have a great day !

It’s Carbide that is removing the metal… it’s making your knife sharper by removing metal and burrs while also dramatically decreasing the life of your knife. Buy some whetstones/Spyderco Sharpmaker/DMT diamond stones/and a quality strip with compound.

That’s carbide that’s eating away the metal in your blade. Buy this if you want to ruin your knife.

What metal is 6-10x harder than the hardest metal used in knife blades...ex.magnacut..?????
@paolo72372 ай бұрын
Magnacut is very very marginally harder than many other “good steels” and the same hardness as most of the super steels.

Maxamet
@roscomcfarland20425 күн бұрын
@@paolo7237no, magnacut performs better the harder it is. MAXAMET is about 71hrc magnacuts max is 65-64
@roscomcfarland20425 күн бұрын
It’s not steel it’s carbide tearing metal from the blade, it’s not sharp it’s jagged like a torn piece of car door
@roscomcfarland20425 күн бұрын
Maxamet is one of the hardness kings. Magnacut performs best in a pocket knife at 63-65HRC. Maxamet is 71hrc I believe. “Good” steels stay high 50hrs low 60hrc.
