Not to be a jerk but lots of unanswered questions. 1) Battery life on this thing 2) does the case actually protect the phone 3) how is to use with your for phone for day to day use with it ? 4) how does it feel to actually use your phone with it on ? 5) No quick impressions of each “game” ? It’s a novelty item and for the cost is it really worth it? It doesn’t seem like it . The production values for the video are nice and the retro history segment in the store are nice but honestly it just seems like a tangent .

3Dor2D I’m a bit late but the battery life is pretty good. I’ve had it for about 5 months and only had to change the battery 2 times. And the case is really good for protection, it’s more of a rubbery feel than a plain plastic/easily broken case.

I used to have almost the same case, mine was a little bit different, mine had a colour lcd screen running an nes emulator, but overall my only complaint about it was the buttons, they don’t have plastic buttons, just mushy rubber ones, but the battery life was amazing, I only charged it twice in my 3 years of having it and I played excite bike on it all the time, and it never once died on me, I only charged to cause I thought it was getting low

I’ve got two original game boys, with a handful of games, As well as an original PlayStation with a selection of games and controller and light guns. Every time I play them, I get a want of nostalgia. It’s great.

I used to have an Orangina handheld with these kinda games on it! It was shaped like a PlayStation controller and the screen bulged out of the top. Had hours of fun with it ;)

That phone case has an old Chinese game budget consoles that were popular in the 90s.....they obviously just re worked them into a gameboy style case....i had a lot of those budget consoles when i was a kid....they were awesome.

Yeah, what this case actually has for hardware is not a gameboy at all, but a Brick Game, or in simpler terms, an old chinese tetris game that was dirt cheap even when the gameboy was brand new, it even uses the same type of graphics as a game and watch or those old tiger games, but uses them to imitate pixels instead.

Completely ignores the existence of the Milton Bradley Microvision, which was the ACTUAL first handheld that allowed you to change games by switching cartridges. It was out in 1979.

the one i got looks exactly like this but the screen is in color and it has like 32 diff games. i only play mario and pacman though lol. I think its the website was like caseboy or shopcaseboy lol. when i got it they were doing it for like $10 off

I remember these games. I once had an "fake" Gameboy Advance device (it looked similar to an blue GBA). It had around 2 dozen games on it. The interface and the games looked exactly like this. They are simply copied and pasted to this iPhone case. I wish I would find one of those fake GBAs again :D

Hey wait all that was on a thing I used to have... I think it was called a PowerJoy III. You could plug video and audio l and r into a tv (remember the red, white, and yellow plugs?) and you could play a whole bunch of games, but there was also a small screen built into the controller, and there were games A thru Z and like in the video, everything past I was Tetris. Please tell me that I'm not the only one who knows about the PowerJoy III... I haven't met anyone who has yet.

You can't compare this to a Gameboy! This is more like those little Game & Watch games, but without the watch. The Gameboy is over 9,000 times more powerful than that!

Honestly, I don't see the value in comparing the size of the phone case to a gameboy. They're two very different things, and the gameboy seems like a much more capable console. Really, the only similarity that I see is in the case's layout.

The Sega Game Gear had a respectable library games. Its just the battery life sucks. The Gameboy won because of its Battery Life. I got a Gameboy for Christmas in the early 90's. But i didn't use it all that much. I didn't buy another handheld until the Nintendo DS came out. When Backlight and a rechargeable batteries made it more worth it.
