After the attack on Marley you can tell the animation quality has dropped significantly compared to the first three episodes. It’s not bad by any means but you can tell they didn’t have enough time to put as much effort as they did before and it saddens me that it was because of a deadline

@@rotmgpumcake biggest problem I think was, they couldve given pretty good animation to both jjk and aot, nothing award winning but still good compared to most, or, as they chose to, focus most of their resources into jjk to make an award winning show and give aot enough to keep fans satisfied but not mind blowing

@@luck8550 Japanese animators don't get paid based on the popularity of the anime nor do they get bonuses after if it performs well. Most of them get paid per frame, meaning the animators received their pay once they were done animating. More people watching doesn't effect their pay at all. MAPPA is a very big studio with a lot of employees to pay. I'm doubtful they'd go against the norm and actually pay their hundreds of animators what they deserve.. This is the real world

This episode was all over the place. The CG clips were not traced properly the merged layers were sliding on each other, the direction felt tryhard and lackluster. Very disappointed. --- A big chunk of this episode was outsourced.

For what its worth, a lot of the animators that animate specific fight scenes like this often work on multiple shows from different studios. There is a chance some of the animators who animated on Demon Slayer also work on MAPPA projects and vice versa.

@@butter3065 Not necessarily, Ufotable uses CGI in so many scenes so it's obvious choice for them. I don't mean in as a bad thing, they are extremely good at using CGI. Both studios are top tier and that's a fact.

@@brightstar9442 MAPPA is also an amazing studio that has some amazing CGI skills. I have no doubt that if MAPPA animated demon slayer it would be on par with Ufotable. These scenes are completely different and completely different in animation style as well. There isn't really a point in setting these studios against each other until they've animated scenes that are more alike.

This is no way near Ufotable. The camera rotates weirdly hear just to give you a feel of action. I seriously saw random moves only ... they were randomly jumping and running. Ufotable shows you each frame clearly. People might disagree and sure each person has his/her opinion.
