Speaking as a brazilian, the "slaming the car door" thing is not common enough to be a rule, in my experience. I myself couldnt care less and the vast majority of people I know are the same. I've noticed that people who care about (even slightly) slamming the car door are the ones who learned this behavior from their parents. It's funny that the brazilian lady says not to commit any stereotype, but that's exactly what she's doing here, ie assuming a general behavior that is not true.

Brazil is a continental Country and there are many cultures and traditions very different in each little "Country" or micro or macro region. There were all kinds of migrations along the story. This was a destiny for the expatriates from every other part of the world. Portugal sent us their convicteds and the worst kind of thing that mankind judged normal the slavery of Africans. Spain was taking the whole other Latin American lands but some people stablished their roots here also. The Great Wars sent us a lot of refugees running away from the horrors of the military operations and so here comes Italians Japaneses Germans and so on... But this mixing with the natives created a very diverse and rich culture with great problems and social differences.

Brazil is not only samba. We have many national and beautiful musical styles like chorinho, bossa nova, MPB, frevo, forró, baião, xaxado, maracatu, sertanejo, carimbó and many others.

Os brasileiros descendentes de italianos são um dos maiores grupos dentro do Brasil, e como a imigração italiana foi mais recente que a imigração portuguesa (praticamente todos os brasileiros são descendentes de portugueses), nós vemos influências italianas muito fortes da cultura brasileira. Brasileiros, até mesmo os que não são descendentes de italianos, são culturalmente influenciados. O estado de São Paulo é o estado mais rico do país e portanto exporta a sua cultura para todas as regiões do Brasil, então esse estado de forte influência italiana, levou essa mesma influência para o Brasil inteiro. Então italianos como você e o Frank Valkiria, certamente vão encontrar muitas coisas em comum no Brasil.

Santos-Dumont invented something that a motor was enough to put in the air, didn't need any impulsion. Since an airplane don't need impulsion or anything like that, we do not consider brothers Wright Santos Dumont didn't want to receive any money for that so he didn't register any patent (copyleft), because his dream was to unite people all over the world; brothers Wright register the patent because they wanted to gain money with that. And, We don't actually get mad with all that she said, we're more like: What world do you live ? (specially when people talk wrong things about geography hahaha)

When talking about World War 2, Brazil absolutely didn't fight for both sides. My grandpa didn't go to Italy and risk his life to help Nazis.

No Rio de Janeiro há um mercado a "Céu aberto" que o nome é literalmente SAARA (Sociedade de Amigos e Adjacências da Rua da Alfândega), mas realmente antes tinha uma influência grande de Árabes e Judeus, mas por incrível que pareça hoje mais de 70% do comércio é dominado por chineses, o restante ainda é de famílias Árabes.
