If you are looking to enjoy some of the best Italian food in Schenectady then you have to dine at this former Cusato's pizza owner's new Italian ristorante opening for the light menu, wine bar, martini bar, and espresso bar in Schenectady-not just for the eggplant parmesan-the Penne Alla Vodka, and Chicken Francese we tasted the night before were equally excellent.
I could not resist ordering the Steak and Gorgonzola Salad for lunch at this Italian ristorante opening-a grilled 6-ounce top sirloin tender steak seared perfectly and sliced-served over their house salad with your choice of dressing and creamy and earthy Gorgonzola (Italian bleu) cheese ($17)... I chose the Creamy Italian dressing on the side... The salad was delizioso.
My Lombardi family lady enjoyed the ANTIPASTO-assorted Italian cured meats of salami, pepperoni, sweet capicola, assorted cheeses, pepperoncini, olives, roasted tomatoes, and house-marinated artichokes ($13)... We took the leftovers home to eat later for dinner with Parmigiana di Melazane (Eggplant Parmesan) made by Mama Modesta of Lagioia Deli.
