Thales Alenia Space is a French and Italian company, but habitat space modules are made by the Italian branch in Tourin. In particular is remarkable that more of 50% of ISS was made in Tourin, the cargo module of Space Shuttle and European ATV were made here, the actual American Cygnus cargo module is still made here, the future habitat modules of the Axiom space station will be made here, and three of the lunar gateway modules will be made here. So at this moment in Italy is made the most part of the habitat modules in space actually and in the next future, so it's not so strange that the first surface lunar habitation modules will be made here. More over ASI (Italian Space Agency) have an historical direct partnership with NASA that starts before ESA was born, and this collaboration continue today too on the Artemis Programme and other common projects.

Italy has been a major space manufacturer in all fields for decades, from satellites to rockets, and also has one of the largest space centers and teleports in the world in the Fucino valley in central Italy. A center of excellence with over fifty years of history behind it: in 2018 it received the prestigious full certification awarded by the World Teleport Association Telespazio's "Piero Fanti" Space Center in Fucino (L'Aquila) has been active since 1963 and today, with its 170 antennas and its 370,000 m2 of surface area, it is recognized as the first and most important "teleport" in the world for civilians. At the Fucino Space Center, in-orbit control activities of satellites, telecommunications, television and multimedia services are carried out. Operational logistics and field service functions are active to support the services provided. 250 employees work there, including engineers, specialized technicians and operational staff. The Control Center of the COSMO-SkyMed Earth observation satellite constellation and one of the Control Centers that manage the European Galileo satellite navigation and localization system are located within Fucino. The Italian Galileo Control Center (GCC-I) is an infrastructure of approximately 6,000 m2 which guarantees the processing and distribution of the navigation signal to satellites and the constant control of the quality of the service offered to end users. The network for the dissemination of data of the Galileo system (GDDN) is also managed from Fucino, which includes approximately fifty earth stations

Thales Alenia Space also makes the pressurized Pressurized Cargo Module and its enhanced version for the Northrop Grumman Cygnus spacecraft. They also built for NASA and the Italian Space Agency the Permanent Multi-Purpose Module (PMM) on ISS that was derived from the Multi-Purpose Logistics Module used on the space shuttle.

We could easily use blow up habitats that go in pre dugout trenches then once there connected and inflated we either use 3D printed steel plates over the outside or lunar paste then cover that final layer with Lunar dust for a more natural surface look. Until we’re able to truly build amazing structures using Lunar dust

Cold temps are really not much of an issue in a vacuum, especially with a pressurized habitat with humans in it. Most of the climate control in a space suit is COOLING, not heating. Without air for conduction and convection, all you have is radiation, which is terribly inefficient. With the habs, you might want some insulation on the parts contacting the surface, but I'm not sure even that would be necessary. It is actually for this reason that the Apollo missions had the craft rotating slowly during its transit, not just to prevent thermal stress from solar heating on only one side of the craft, but also to keep that heat from building up and heating the interior as much.

That looks like some cool tech here. My concern is the radiation that hit the Moon surface. Does this module provide adequate protection from radiation exposure? The Moon has 0 atmosphere and ozone to filter radiation from the sun 🌞. You must provide protection for future Space Exploration Science Team. Otherwise the Astronauts will have to hastily tried back to the lander for protection. I would investigate further on the Moon dust. Dust doesn't disturb itself, therefore some sort of underground anomaly is taking place. I wouldn't place a module anywhere near places that have frequent disturbances on the Moons Surface

Can we reuse modules or parts from the ISS for the new "gateway" around the moon or even for habitats on the moons surface? It seems pretty wasteful to just let the ISS burn up in the atmosphere when it is decomissioned. Thanks for the nice video!

What about radiations from the Sun (and cosmic radiation too)? On the ISS you can spend months without worrying about it too much since it's still protected by the Earth's magnetic field, but on the Moon you have no protection at all (or very little), and you can spend only a few days on the surface. What's the solution to that? Are the astronauts simply going to spend less time on the Moon and get more rotation? Are the modules going to include more shielding, meaning more weight? With Starship, weight is not going to be that big of a problem, but still.

Pretty good video. I would just ask that you choose a different way of transitioning from one image to the next, especially when you do the "split into several pieces with some going up, some going down". Your graphics are excellent as they are, You don't need any "artsy" transitions between them. It's just visually annoying.
