I am an immigrant and i work as a driver here in turin. Most of the time i work outside of turin n before sunset i came back home. Whenever i reach the city entrance near Auchan shopping center, i feel it, i feel like now im back home, im safe, and protected. Turin is my home, and will always be. Its not only about the beauty of the city, but its people, culture, history and its acceptance for immigrants like me with open heart n full respect. 💕😍😍💕💕 Long live Turin, Italy

I can't tell you how pleased I am to hear such sentiments from an immigrant. My son goes to middle school in Turin and has known many immigrant kids (Chinese, Syrian, Peruvian). I know it is hard for them to integrate, especially when their parents struggle with the language and customs. I'm glad to hear that the city is home to you.

For tourists/ visitors i must say that Turin is a bit different from other parts or destinations of italy. There is calmness, affection, affordability, classiness, and versatility in Turin. I'm sure, you gonna feel that. Industries, fashion, sports, religion, history, landscapes, alps, entertainment, n above all .. Food 😍..turin is complete package to visit n at the end of the day you would say, yeah Torino worth it.

I live there part time and one of the people in our building is a Juve employee. We get tickets a few times per year. My son is in heaven! He also ran into Juan Cuadrado in our local park and got a photo with him. He is a class act and chatted with my mother in law for quite a while.

@@grantomalley8532 My wife's great grandparents also immigrated from Turin around 1890. They made some money and returned to Turin around 1911 when her grandmother was 17. They lived in Brooklyn and Greenwich Village and we visited a few sites where they had lived and had a furniture store. We still have her grandmother's US passport as she was an employee of the US Consulate in Turin, and we also found mention of her in a book about people importing Italian silent films to the US. She was quite exceptional.

@@JohnKruse Well I remember my dad telling me, that they were much different types of Italians that came here from that part of Italy (the north), then the larger masses that were from more South. That may be just an opinion, but I hear the remnants of that from time to time at family gatherings.

Not mentioned that Nice /Côte di Azur and most of what is now known as the French Alps were under Italian rule under one kingdom or another since Romans times and that the King of Savoy signed them over to France in 1860, in the Treaty of Turin allowing France to annex them for France's help in Italian renunciation against Austria Empire.

I live in a city near Turin 20 minutes of car. I have to pay a compliment to you because normally when I see a guide of Italian city made by a foreign country the risk is cliches tendency! But this isn't your case! You have showed gianduiotto factory and not Nutella factory! Good work because Nutella is an industrial international cream of SUGAR, it see chocolate and hazelnuts only thanks for the telescope! And you've talked about Fiat and the hard work that torinesi do everyday! Sad story but is the reality! Good strike talking about the history of the kingdom of Italy in XIX century and of the history of agnelli or of the immigration of Sicilian people!

Nutella factory is not in Turin because Nutella is not from Turin but from Alba, in the province of Cuneo

Nutella is original Italian (company Ferrero) in Alba a Cuneo , you must to study good history before written... And if you live in turin, you don't need so much effort for to know the most interresant points cause turin is in city so clear and easy, e se possibile parlare pocco italiano sarà più, meglio, then you can get the good guide from cittadini (citoyens) or also there's board geografic carte like maps out in street or in squars it's help so much and also you can use the maps Internet, so this time not difficult to get the right information... Be liitle intelligente

English journalist !!! Look At Saint Paul Cathedral ! That s is italian baroque example . Non french style !! Study the History of Wren influenced by Michelsngelo Bernini and Borromini. And respect the history of italian art . Baroque is a style born in Roma and after in Itajy Spain and East of Europe . The french style is different and it s the italian style that influenced The french architecture, not the opposite!! Where Did you study ???

I'm honestly jealous I'm from the OTHER big car-making city, Detroit, instead of a place of such culture. Sure a FIAT might be the butt of jokes, but I'd still rather take that L while drinking a bicerin at Piazza Vittorio Veneto.

Fiat is not a joke, it makes Small affordable city cars, that is their target. Besides they own Chrisler, Alfa Romeo, Maserati, Ferrari, Iveco etc.....and they merged with Peugeut. It's not a joke at all.

I know everyone's travel expriences are different, but this vid doesn't strike me as the Turin I saw recently. Sure, it's got "Baroque" architecture and its rich, posh places. But IMO Turin is a mostly a grubby, grimey, rude, cheating, hustling and bustling place - like most cities, in other words. That said, I met some really nice, sincere, interested/interesting locals, who were great to chat to. I also loved the outdoor/indoor market culture, and the amazing food and drink. That's probably the real deal, not what this vid doesn't show.
