I couldn't agree more. The steroid cream I was prescribed does nothing but eat my skin. Literally, my skin flakes off in patches. So I rarely use anything unless the itch is so intense I can't stand it. Now my labia is being "eaten" away, and growth over my clitoris so I can't even orgasm. It's insane, but no real break thru in treatments in 2-3 years? What gives?

Lady's please think about the soaps, the fragrances, the menstruation pads that are made with toxic materials, especially tampons, feminine sprays, Laundry detergents, dryer sheets, and so on. Is their anything man-made and toxic next to that area on a regular basis? Even the dioxins from the bleaching process when making toilet paper can cause big problems. Think about it... we are being bombarded with things that are harmful and yes when the body no longer has the strength to fight , it gets cancer. First.... do no harm.

It’s really strange. I never had any symptoms. Perfect vaginal health all my life until I went to Los Angeles last September. The same thing happened to me.

My Obgyn did a biopsy and I didn't even feel it. I had no lidocaine or anything else. Guess it just depends on the doctor.

The first biopsy I have was so so painfull I hold nurse hand si tide . Poor nurse 😢 😞

There is an amazing doctor in AZ I only wish I lived in the area to see. There are times when biopsies come back Lichen Simplex Chronicus and patient may still have Lichen Sclerosus according to visual and clinical diagnosis. It all depends on where the area and zone of biopsy was taken from. Sometimes the biopsies are taken from a region of the skin that is not deeply affected by LS and physician may be avoiding to get too close to an overly sensitive region that could prolong healing from the biopsy itself. It happened to me twice with biopsies and I had clear indications of fusing, tearing of genital skin, anal pathway, genital loss of labia anatomy, typical white patchy skin in the formation of figure eight, genital lesions, itching, burning 🔥...my clitoral hood was fused and so was the opening of my vestibule. Some people do not respond to steroid treatments and are still in need of careful monitoring which is not often provided locally. Wishing men, women and children suffering from this degenerative mutilative disease 🦠 the accurate diagnosis, treatments and courage to speak out publicly 💪🏽 There is no shame needing to be attached to our human bodies and seeking well needed care.

It's a misconception that LS thins the skin. Current research shows that LS thickens the basement layer of the skin. Fissures are caused by the skin thickening and breaking open.
