Yep. by calculating Rent paid less 10% of salary, 40% of salary(50% of salary when we are in metro cities), Actual HRA and we get exemption on the amount which ever is lower on this calculations. And Salary means sum of basic salary, DA and any other commissions

Because you failed to pay advance tax on time. If you pay advance tax on time you can avoid interest u/s 234B and 234C

ഞാൻ adided school teacher ആണ്. ഞാൻ കഴിഞ്ഞ (Ass year 2022-2023) വർഷം income tax file ചെയ്തിരുന്നു. എന്നാൽ ഈ fin. year എനിക്ക് ഏപ്രിൽ, മെയ്‌ മാസം മാത്രമേ salary (23000+23000) ലഭിച്ചുള്ളൂ. പിന്നെ 2023 ജൂണിൽ ആണ് എന്റെ lower പാസ്സായി bill എടുത്തത്. പിന്നെ എന്റെ അക്കൗണ്ടിൽ 2 year നു മുൻപ് ഇട്ട 7 lakhs FD ഉണ്ട്. ഞാൻ tax file ചെയേണ്ടതുണ്ടോ?
