As Dr.Swamy suggested, Income tax ceiling must be raised to 10 to 12 lakhs per annum. (12 lakhs would be appropriate). This would give a great relief to salaried class people. Hope the Govt will think of such reforms in their 3rd term. Such a reform will enable salaried people who can buy a house. It will create lots of job for many people. All those people will become votebank of BJP. The tax deducted at present is more than enough to pay EMI of Housing loan. Policy makers should think of such reforms.

under Section 194J. You'll need to provide details like the TAN of the deductor (payer's tax deduction and collection account number), challan date, and the amount of TDS deducted.

സാർ ഞാൻ ന്യൂ സബ്സ്ക്രൈബർ ആണ്. പ്രവാസജീവിതം അവസാനിപ്പിച്ച എനിക്ക് എൻറെ എൻആർഐ അക്കൗണ്ട് ക്ലോസ് ചെയ്യാനായിട്ട് അതിലെ എട്ടു ലക്ഷം വിധം എന്റെ മറ്റ് 3 സേവിങ് അക്കൗണ്ട് ബാങ്കിലേക്ക് ( 8+8+8) ട്രാൻസ്ഫർ ചെയ്തു കഴിഞ്ഞാൽ എനിക്ക് ITR ഫയൽ ചെയ്യണോ. NRI അക്കൗണ്ടിലെ പൈസ സ്വന്തം പേരിൽ വിവിധ ബാങ്ക് കളിൽ എഫ്ഡി ഇട്ടു കഴിഞ്ഞാൽ TAX വരുമോ ?

Sir, ഒരു വ്യക്തി ഒരു സാമ്പത്തിക വർഷത്തിൽ 2.5 lac അയാളുടെ SB അക്കൗണ്ടിലേക്ക് deposit ചെയ്താൽ അത് അയാളുടെ വരുമാനമായി കണക്കാക്കുമോ? അങ്ങനെയെങ്കിൽ അതിനു അദ്ദേഹം income tax return file ചെയ്യേണ്ട പരിധിയിൽ വരുമോ? please reply

Depositing money in your SB account itself isn't considered income for the Income Tax department. However, the interest you earn on that deposit is taxable under the head 'Income from Other Sources'.

@@anoop1818 If you have a salary income of INR 10 lakh and an F&O loss of INR 2 lakh, you cannot set off the F&O loss against your salary income. However, if you have rental income of INR 3 lakh, you can set off the F&O loss against this rental income.
