D400 User for a year Mileages that I got during: City/Town: 27-32 kmpl While touring and highways: 35-37 kmpl And kindly note, The mileage performance will be purely based on how you handle the vehicle. Atleast don't throttle up above 5K RPM upto your first 2000 kilometres. This is the time for your engine to get ready. The remaining mileage will surely depending upon your previous usage. Note: Throttling us not the way to speed up your bike. Use proper gear shifting. 🙂

I have a 2018 dominar 400. Covered 50K kms. Still getting 37kmpl on highways while traveling home from bangalore to kottayam. Even in heavy bangalore traffic it doesn't disappoint. If you turn off the vehicle during long stand stills you can get 30. Else 28. This is the old SOHC version by the way. No complaints whatsoever. Still using the original throttle and clutch cable even after 5yrs. Just oil and air filter changes have been done so far. In this way the engine might easily outlast 1L kms without overhaul, (touchwood).
