It's great that railroad/railway heritage and excursion sites still have people interested in them. They definitely need that to keep existing. I think Thomas and Friends has kept the love of steam and rail transportation in general in the people's conscience. Without Thomas and Friends and the Railway Series books, I think the era of steam would be long forgotten and would've went the way of the horse buggy.

If you want to use the original place of invention as your argument, at least get your facts straight.

Bruh let's not forget about the events of the Culdee Fell Mountain Railway's Number 1 engine... you know when he fell off the mountain and was so badly damaged that he had to become spare parts for the other Culdee Fell Engines

The real story it's based off is a lot darker. shortly after the opening of the Snowdon mountain railway, it's number 1 engine, named "l.a.d.a.s." , derailed and fell off the mountain due to a damaged rail. The crew jumped clear as the engine crashed. Unfortunately, two of the train's passengers also jumped off, one of them falling down the mountain to his death. Then another train, going down the mountain, hauled by number 2 "Enid", crashed into the stopped coaches, causing them to run away down the mountain, where they were derailed in a loop by a signalman. L.a.d.a.s. fell a long way and was obliterated upon hitting the ground. Usable parts were gutted from the engine, and the rest was thrown into the scrap heap. L.a.d.a.s. was never replaced and it's number was never used again on the Snowdon mountain railway.

I get the message of this video being a tank engine is the worst job to ever be because you could even be scrapped or turned into a freaking generator if you're too unlucky
