The exhaust doesn't sound that bad. It just sounds super loud to you because you have absolutely no sound deadening material in your car and your exhaust is RIGHT THERE. Put in some sound deadening material and you'll probably be singing a different tune. Seriously what did you expect?

BobbyJay it's not the lack of sound deadning or interior, it's just it doesn't have a resonator, a nice resonator before the muffler would sound nice and deep without the annoying rasp

Wrong. I have a mk6 2.5 vw and if my rear seats are folded.... jesus christ it's loud as fuck (Even worst with the hatch open (because yes I had to drive a few miles with my hatch open for kayaks once)) -you can take a look at my channel you'll see how loud it gets when i take off-

Its so loud for a good reason. Alot of the Kanjo cars like the one you personally had a ride in was way louder than your CRX, i dont know why you would want to make such a raw car quieter. Please keep it how it is. Do it for Mechadok.

Ek Hatch so true lol my series 1 rx7 had no cats factory and I just did a muffler delete and it would shoot made flames no one would tailgate me it was nice if they did bye bye bumper paint but my daily was a fully loaded 02 v6 accord and no one would see me then someone hit me a t redlight at 50mph plus at a fucking dui Check Point from behind wasn’t even drunk or anything said he was going 25 yet my frame is crumpled in Multiple pleases and my car looking like a 4door hatch. my 97 Acura cl 5sp I got for a cheap daily same problem and notice that in my rx7 since people would notice it for the most part already and since it was so loud.... boom immediately disconnect the muffler people notice me a lot more happens a lot less but with a month of driving open header no one once got in ducking way once

Im with you on the loud exhaust. I have never liked Hondas with loud exhaust. I think the induction sound is the best thing about a DOHC VTEC so a nice air filter and a standard or tasty aftermarket exhaust has always been the way I like it. Even on my first car (eg6 SiR) when I was 17 it had a standard exhaust and an air filter. I sounded great when hooning and dead quite when not. Could drive around without drawing any attention. Even on a track car I fail to see the point. Really dont think you are gaining any performance over a resonated exhaust especially on an NA 160-200hp cars that people put them on. Same goes for the stripped interior and taking out the AC. Does my head on when its done to rare nicely spec'd car.

What a absolute gorgeous crx... I understand what you mean with it being so loud as I've had motorbikes and cars with extremely loud exhausts and i was constantly looking for the police. As I've gotten a little older i prefer a deeper sound that doesn't grab the attention from the wrong people.

Sound beautiful n loud with lovely rasp. I'm 27 still loving it.its only daft when on these 1.2ltr cars sound like going lit faster then really are .I was car meet royal status held Scarborough north Yorkshire Sunday just gone . Beautiful baby blue crx rocking out your stickers

I recently got EP3 with full straight 3” exhaust.. it was mad loud with even small blip on a gas pedal. First thing I did the next day was to swap it with stock one and oh my what a relief that was :D I’m so over those nasty mufflers. Now max I would get would be HKS silent Hi-Power.. with that tone I could live with on a daily.

I do think there is too loud but something that needs to be said for exhausts is that it creates sound queues that drivers use to drive better weather it’s consciously or not. When you have an exhaust everyone in the car becomes more aware of what the car is doing. In an age that’s getting distracted so easily behind the wheel by other things, a little mechanical awareness in the cab is a positive.

I have an ep3 with a non resonated m2 hornet 👌🏼 sound is personal preference but I love the sound of a k20 with a raspy exhaust.

Everyone gets a loud exhaust at some point early on. I had a magnex pipe on my saxo vtr like 12 years ago. It was fun at the time but I did not miss it when I upgraded to a golf GTI. I like a bit of noise, but for every day there comes a point when you get fed up of really loud pipes.

I didnt rip out the interior, i bought the car before someone was going to scrap it and we got it running & road worthy again with what i had to hand, new owner wanted to keep the Exhaust on after we made a deal for it

@datstocklyfe thats definitely not true at all. A subaru will never tack out as high as a honda does and not only that but a turbo quiets down the exhaust sound.
