Haikyuu's influence on Japan's high-school volleyball was HUGE. Thousands of kids signed up to play volleyball, turning it into a national phenomenon. It was so powerful that during the Olympics 2020 held in Tokyo the first Haikyuu OP was played during the Japan volleyball matches. So... yeah, I think it might be worth checking it out :D

Haikyuu probably has some of the best, if not the best, character and relationship writing in modern animanga. With a cast that consists of more than 100 characters, you don't expect to care about even half of those people but somehow, Haikyuu manages to do it super well. There's a reason why it spurred so many people over the world to play volleyball no matter their age and experience.

haikyuu may be the only anime that i watched that isn't using superpower or exaggerate techniques. It's a pure volleyball with a hardship and friendship bond. this show brings so much laughter and tears to me. My comfort anime all of time 🫶

I love haikyuu so much I watched reactions from Volleyball Coaches (Coach Donny), and Olympians (Sarah Pavan). They offered even deeper insight into this show and how legit the strategy and depiction of player headspace is. This series now joins the likes of Hajime No Ippo, Slam Dunk, Touch, as one of my greatest sports animes of all time.

Haikyuu isn’t just my fav sports anime, but also one of my all time fav anime in general

I watched Haikyuu when it first came out (2016), I am playing volleyball since 2018. Nough said. it took me 2 Seasons to start a new sport. (one of the Best choices of my life honestly, did a lot to my physical health and confidence so thanks haikyuu)

Its a bit more complicated with the liberos. They have a different colour so the referees know that they are allowed to switch with a player (often the middle blockers) more than once per set. Meaning they can substitute more often. They can also dig the balls upfront. They are restricted in other ways, like not being able to set balls upfront or jump attack. Volleyball is actually quite complicated. Being forward means just, that you are allowed to jump at the forward zone (3metre zone). You are free to help out the defence.

Haikyuu! easily the best anime sport ever. they're bunch of highschoolers who loves sport and want to achieveing their dreams! Its more than just abt volleyball The beauty of haikyuu is that the manga is full of panels that are inspiring and meaningful. even when it’s just a side character talking, even in the middle of an ordinary conversation, even when you’re not expecting it, there’s always a line that makes you reflect on life.

Haven't even watched the video but I'm here to say that Haikyuu is so so good. I'm a born sports-hater but I'm so glad I gave it a chance. I watched the olympics for the first time during the last summer one to watch volleyball. I recently got my first tattoo--the motto of one of the teams.

Hello from France ! Oh yeees please ! Haikyuu is just the best anime ever for me. And that's coming from someone who said "naaa anime sports is trash". I've never been so glad to be mistaken ! This is just pack of action, emotions, friendship. This anime or manga just gives you the will of being the best, doing everything you can for your dreams. I also cried many times. And it teaches you that everyone is different and yet similar, all chasing for their dreams, no real antagonist here. This is so well written. I think you get it now, i'm addicted to it since i watched it. This is a safe place where the fandom is just 100% adorable (in my opinion). This show had a huge influence and even professionnal players have reacted to it, saying it was awesome ! So i would love to see your reactions to it!

If you haven't put it on the wait list already "Darker Than Black" has three openings, the first opening being a banger and the other two are great in their own right. It's a cult classic anime.

Killer anime? Absolutely, only sports anime that I've ever been able to get invested in, definitely worth the watch. Good show to react to on the channel? Think that might be more debatable from a content perspective.

I know it's unrelated to the reaction here but I wonder why so many reactors seems like avoiding kyo-ani's animes. Is it cause of hard to deal with copyright stuff, lack of hype, or what idk. Shows like hyouka, nichijou, kyoukai no kanata, Hibike Euphonium, tamako market, and so on. I thought it would be fun to watch. My thoughts are the reasonable pick to react would be either a shounen Anime or some seasonal Animes that have some hype going around.
