Bang Chan’s ‘I will protect you’ first happened when they were finally able to perform live again for an audience after COVID, it was also during this time a lot of antis were verbally attacking Stays, staff and the members. He got really overwhelmed by the love and atmosphere in the concert because he finally got to show everyone what Stray Kids were born to do as well as see/interact with Stays and went on this legendary speech that he was kinda embarrassed about later but has goodnaturedly re-enacted and made fun of later on. Bang Chan loves the kids so much and always says they saved him. He was a trainee in JYP for 7 years before debuting and got to see so many trainees come and go. He said at a point he became very stand-offish and didn't allow himself to get near any new trainees so that it wouldn't be painful for him when they left. So, he said that when he first met the members he may have appeared very dark but he got so close to them and is now like the rock of the group. He's really amazing

This was just the soft and fluffy stuff, you should see the compilations of him saving the other members from being physically hurt like he's freaking superman, and the emotional moments with them where they are expresssing what he means to them and what he's done for them and the group along with many of the raw moments themselves. Or the endless times he has worked himself to the bone, or covered the workload of multiple people several times over, just so they wouldn't have to. Those are THE moments that I feel show what an amazing leader he is. These ones show how comfortable they are as a group and how their dynamic allows them to all be real with one another without fear of upsetment. However it definitely doesn't show WHY. Of course, that part where Felix and Han were talking about Chan, and what he meant to them... The part where they got deep. Imagine that, but actually seeing the clips that made them say the things they said, and then some. Yeah, and come to think about it, Han and Felix are indeed at the center of it all, too. The sunshine twins we call them, they are the groups fake Maknaes whom BangChan worries about and treasures to a point that, his love for them goes deeper than even that of a parent. He would give his life for any one of those boys, i fully believe that. However, i also believe that he would give up anything and everything for those two in particular if they so much as asked him too. And there's of course good reasons for it. Felix reminds him of himself, coming to a foreign country and not knowing the language, Bang was alone, though, and had to survive it all by himself. He didn't want thay for Felix. He fought so hard for him, to keep him in the group, to help him learn Korean, and to make sure he was never ever lonely like BangChan was. Han, on the other hand, Han saved BangChans life. That loneliness i mentioned, it was almost the death of him. The company was saving him for something special, but he didn't know that. He thought he was just not good enough to debut. Almosy 8 years as a trainee before he debuted with Stray Kids. He saw everyone else either fail out or debute around him in all that time. Then, Han appeared. So unbelievably talented and so delicate emotionally, he quickly adhered himself to BangChans' side. He trusted him with every ounce of his being and put his whole career and all of his faith in him, agreeing to be a part of whatever he would build. He was basically the first member of 3RACHA. Of course, the group wasn't formed till Changbin arrived sometime later, but he was always going to be a part of whatever BangChan did. And when the company gave him the green light to form his own group and ready them for debut... Han was announced as the very first member. He was BangChan's very first Stray Kid, and it was his entry into Chans life that gave him a reason to hope and to keep going those next two years until the company announced the plan to give him control of his own future. If it wasn't for Han, BangChan may not still be with us today. Those were his own words too... Like i said, you need to watch the "emotional version" of this. Lol, it's unbelievably toughing. Just be warned, you will probably cry and find yourself like millions of us have.... Forever in love with a man who thinks we are silly for loving him so. Lol

this a good tip to know better the multiple personalities of chan: 1. chan: chan is chan(? yk the everyday version; a normal guy, he’s chill and is stay’s (the fandom) bestie/ bf (for the delulu ones including chan himself) 2. channie: channie is the gentlemen, softie, fluffy and sweet version of chan, he uses this version of him almost everyday just like chan, period. 3. bangchan: we can say bangchan is like “the professional version of himself”, he uses this personality when he is performing and in “serious situations”. 4. christopher: the real one, the final boss; daddy christopher, most known thanks to his photo of him on that survival program, the fck boy and the “you know what else is big 🤨🤪” version.

Stray Kids was an experimental boy group. Bang Chan selected every member himself. There is sub groups in SKZ. 3racha(Changbin, Han, Bang Chan), Danceracha(Hyunjin, Lee Know, and Felix), then the Vocal line (Seungmin and IN). Essentially Stray Kids is a self produced group since Bang Chan Produces the music and 3racha writes the music together. Danceracha make all the choreography for the songs. And the vocal team is just amazing.

Felix: Forever maknae. He gonna be in his 30s and they're still gonna baby the hell outta him, I'm calling it. Take care of him, he has a tendency to spam message on bubble when he's anxious or lonely. Han: The other forever maknae, begrudgingly. Doesn't seem to want Bang Chan to baby him as much as he does , but undeniably he is baby and everyone wants to take care of him. I recognize myself. When I see Bang Chan. Not as a leader. But as a higher hand. There people around me. Feels safe and shows respect. Nobody that I know. Will be pushed aside when I'm close. The same thing when it comes to work. If a boss behaves badly. Against us employees. Then I will make that boss show respect. But that's how I was raised. My sister is exactly the same. To always stand up for yourself and others. Show compassion and be kind. At the same time to be strong and defend. And show no pain. So some people see me as a bad girl. And some people see me as a very caring person.

He is aware of the hyuang and maknae roles in his team but prefers if everyone is friends rather than sticking hard and fast to the hierarchy that is more well known in k-pop. He looks out for every member of his team and has helped his maknae to grow and helped him feel secure as not just the maknae but as an important part of the team. I’ve seen a few videos where he’s let I.N (maknae) lead the team greeting when he (the hyuang) was there which shows the greatest level of trust and respect that he has for his members. Bang Chan was raised with more strict hyuangs who were more authoritarian and rule followers. So he definitely understands the roles and everything but chooses to run his team with more of a friends vibe. He can lay down the law when necessary but SKZ constantly strives to do the best work they can as individuals and better themselves individually for the betterment of the team without pressure from their hyuang. They are all free at any time to go to him or seek him out for anything and he’s constantly looking out for each and every one of them.

It was him who gathered all the participants, coached them and helped them make their debut in one team. He determined the path that the skz are now following. He is part of the skz production trio 3racha, who wrote the entire discography of the band (with the participation of other members). He helped everyone who is in the team to become aces, as he d helped to develop theur skills. He is also insanely talented and hardworking: he is an amazing vocalist, a great dancer and rapper, a wonderful producer and composer. He made Stray Kids logo himself tho.
