I wasn't going to watch it, because I hate the original. I saw your comment and thought, "Okay, let's give it a go." Five seconds in, I had to turn it off. I just hate the song, no matter who sings it, I guess, even if it is one of my favorite groups.

That’s how I’d always arrive into Manhattan, I’d get the air train to Jamaica station and then the Long Island railroad to Penn station it’s so much faster than getting a taxi or private car 🫥 Your comment brought back a lovely memory so thank you. Now I understand how that's a fast and easy way to get from JFK to the city. Train travel is great and fast. I love your description of coming up from the train station.... paints a picture as you say! I love to travel by train. The company that developed the software we used at work is headquartered in Virginia, just outside Washington, DC. Can't tell you how many times I traveled there for training or conferences. Originally I would drive, but that got tiring real fast. Hated the traffic, accidents, road construction, crazy drivers. Started taking the train and would arrive relaxed and safe. The Washington metro was right there at the train station, making it so easy to get anywhere. When my niece got married in the Outer Banks of North Carolina, I took the train (Amtrak) as close as I could get, and then rented a car to drive the two hours to the North Carolina coast. Much better than driving the whole way. I'm doing fine. Still sleeping on the sofa. They're picking up the mattress and box spring on Monday. Finally I'll be able to get a bed not made for a giant. So how are things going with your office/studio? I haven't been writing you because I figured you were busy setting things up.

Yes I’m a train fan, I’ve used them to go to Galway from Dublin a few times but I’d love to go on a luxury sleeper train and travel across huge distances. I’ve watched a lot of travel shows about it. I wish I could go on a coach trip across the United States, I researched one before that was a month long trip. You get the coach from Manhattan to Washington enjoy seeing the sights and stay a night in a hotel (included in the price) then after breakfast you get back on the coach and travel to the next state, go sight seeing with a guide and stay the night again in another hotel. Some of the stops would be a three day stay and others just the one. I thought it sounded like such an adventure so I did a little test run here by getting the coach to county Mayo and had severe motion sickness 🤢 so bad that I had to lay down for hours, so unfortunately my American coach adventure wasn’t to be. Yes you had the right idea, get the train for the majority of the distance and then drive, much better idea plus North Carolina coast just sounds lovely without knowing absolutely anything about it. That’s good that you’ll be getting your skyscraper mattress collected and can get a human sized one soon. I know they say you should try out the mattress in the show room but I’d find that very awkward and wouldn’t be able to Judge its comfort, so all I’ve ever done is press my hand on it a couple of times and said… yeah I’ll take this one… then it gets delivered and I’m sleeping on an expensive bag of rocks 🙄 I’ve deliberately not been saying hi, because I thought it could be intrusive, I figured if my Anne wants to chat she’ll jump on and say hi but I stopped myself so many times. I’ve cleared out the room and have to order a skip to take away all the heavy stuff, I then have to get all the equipment out of the attic and set that up. On screen I’m sure it will look fine but I’m hoping the lighting looks okay because sometimes I look bad in artificial light, that’s why most of the time I just sit facing a window. What ever way it turns out at least I’ll be able to get stuff done. My call for help was a result of an email, I got from my management in response to my last few monthly tube reports and basically the message was, "its time to give up on this venture, it’s not working out and isn’t sustainable" I knew it was bad but I didn’t realise it was that bad, but it is. We’ll see what happens. I won’t stop my channel but I may need to stop using my management as part of my channel… we’ll see.

The train trip across the country with overnight stops sounds great. Sorry to hear you got so sick on the train. I've never had motion sickness. Trains, planes, buses, boats, cars... nothing bothers me. I have heard from people who get sea sick that it's awful. My older brother used to get sea sick when he was young. Then he joined the Navy and served in the submarines of all things 🤪. Somehow he overcame his sea sickness, probably out of sheer will. He loved the ocean and fishing, always had his own boat. I've always wanted to take a train trip through the Canadian Rockies. But I don't think that will ever happen for me. INTRUSIVE????? Stopped from saying hi????? 🚨🚨🚨 That's against Anneeee's Ts&Cs. I'll have to send you a copy! Never, never think that! I was just being quiet because I knew you were busy and I didn't want to interrupt your progress. I'm seldom busy . What have I created? 😂 a mini army of Barry’s 🤣 Oh I can see how my comment was confusing, I’m fine on trains but I was talking about a coach I think I’ve heard people call them "getting a greyhound bus" in America, it’s a big bus that travels long distances and I get “car sick" in them. I just took it for granted that a coach was a universal term for them, the other “coaches” I’ve heard are on a sports team and another term for travelling economy by plane. That term irritates me, because it can still cost thousands to fly long distances from Ireland to America or other countries THOUSANDS what’s "economy" about that? No… just no. Why wouldn’t you take that Canadian train trip you’re talking about, it sounds lovely.
