Life Of Bez has made a build video on our VY CLUBSPORT from start to finish !
- A full wrap in Gloss Tiffany blue
- 20" Gloss black Supersports with whitewalls
- Lowered on SSL Front
- Rear airbag suspension
- Sunroof
- Senator roof wing
- Senator boot lip
- 17% Tint
- Calipers painted teal
- Guards rolled
*There is a few things not in the video as we tried to squish it all in under 10 minutes but you get the idea... If you can give us some feedback on this style of build video would be appreciated as then we can work out if we should do more like this! Thankyou everyone !!

I bought my VY SS Commodore with more or less a HSV tune done to it in 2008,it was tuned to put out 276 Fwkw (221rwkw) but it only has a set of custom press bent headers fitted meaning that the primaries which were meant to be 1 5/8 inch in diameter were only 1 3/8 inches in diameter,a set of high flow twin 2.25 inch high flow mufflers were also fitted. The diff ratio was dropped from the standard 3.46:1 down to 3.9:1 which made the LS1 engine feel quicker than standard,it was dyno tuned & the dyno sheets are showing that the power is up from 203 rwkw. Since then, I've bolted a set of 1 5/8 inch mandrel bent primary Genie headers & matching 2.5 inch 200 cell catalytic converters onto the engine & a Redback mandrel bent straight through twin 2.5 inch cat back exhaust system. I got my registration done on December 9 last year & they gave me a free dyno tune so the engine is putting out more like 300 fwkws from a stock LS1 engine, it's got far more pull in it than its ever had now in the 11 years that I've had the car, I've been told it's had a HSV tune done to it. Even when it only had a 2.5 inch cat back exhaust system fitted,it still seemed to be quicker than the 6 litre VE SS Commodore for some reason. In the U.S. someone got 303 fwkw out of a stock 5.7 litre LS1 V8 engine in their Chevrolet Corvette with the same mods done to it !

It's the squareport Mexican heads.. The headers circumference adaption to the plate need to be shaped a little to suit the port shape.. It's well worth it though.. 😄

OK so i would have given this vid a thumbs up, but i don't like the colour of the wrap, the car is riding on rubber bands, and sits way to low....This would not be a fast car on 1/4 mile, however Kudos to you for engine package and zorst....., If it was mine id loose the plastic wrap and airbags and wheels and tyres.....Also whilst im here did we do a break upgrade too because of the cam ?...

Hybr1dK1dz not Really funny mate I’m an Automotive technician (mechanic) I have seen over the years people do this crap which takes out factory handling specifications out of vehicles , I have a VY 5.7 litre Calais it is stock standard and original and “cool” you do realise putting modifications on a car destroys its value over the long term ?? @@iamasmurf1122 Its not like just slapped some Repco floor mats and ebay clear taillights on it, the mods that were done are still very much on par if not better then factory spec. Wrap peels straight off doing nothing to the "original" paint, and the engine mods done would only increase value.

Peter Lee it's a vinyl wrap bud, plus rear end is on air bag suspension to drop it for looks. Great looking car. Keep your VXR in goodnick man it'll be a collectable. 👍

wrap like 2500 for a good one (that ive been quoted) probably 5 grand on engine and exhaust to make it sound the same 1500 for wheels and tyres depending on where you get em for suspension if you go with good shit probably 1500-2 grand 10k on the low end, 15 on the high end, thats not including labour costs for the install of parts i dunno whats been done to the engine if it was more than just a cam or not, if its just a cam and exhaust, this would easy be a 10 grand job all said and done, probably less
