This organic chemistry video tutorial provides a basic introduction into naming organic compounds. It explains how to write the IUPAC nomenclature of alkanes. Follow the IUPAC nomenclatue in the case that have 2 structures of isomer with the same number and the same subtitution of cacbon on the main chain, we prefer to choose the numbering method for subtitution that has the smaller position on the main chain. "The 4-ethyl..." is my opinion.
