Sir after 2004 the 'ide' became 'ido'. So it would be chlorido (in the coordination sphere) etc.

Well rules of naming the ligand has now changed...(basically it will be ide--> ido) for example for chloride we write chlorido We dont write chloro anymore) Pls correct me if I'm wrong...Otherwise nice explaination

2:58 ; I mean cyanido place of cyano What is difference between cyano and cyanido? Cyano- is related to the neutral CN group. Cyanido- is related to the CN- anion. @@VasiUlla-by9hf

Both Google baba and Najam baba are right at their respective positions... In coordination sphere, you have to right Cl as Chloro... While out of the coordination, it is chloride...😆
