My favourite movie...yes, Leonid Gaidai is a genius, all the actors are simply amazing!!! But don't forget one more actor...CAT 😊😊😊

@@christinap-c Nope. Only vintage. You can't recreate those fabulous fashion from 1910-1930s and 1950-1970s! Would be copy cats. I buy vintage, and it's more expensive than the most fancy exclusive today's brand. I suggest you will watch Diamond Arm, greatest comedy. Released in 1968. It's available with English subtitles here on you tube, if you are not of Russian origins

I think Russia is one of the oldest, if not the oldest cultures to exist, next to India. Knowledge has been lost, but the thirst for knowledge is genetically transmitted.

@@johnvgrandWell, ir was many years, ago. I remember I understood everything perfectly, and I think the movie was dubbed in Italian. But It maybe it had Italian subtitles. I'm sorry to not anwer properly to your question, but I don't remember more than this. By the way, it was broadcasted on the Third Channel of the Narional Italian TV, the RAI. Rai3 in this case.

Lots of funny moments in this movie comes from the fact that Ivan the Terrible, for example, speaks the Old Russian, while Bunsha uses the language of bureaucracy, Miloslavsky adds slang etc. Unfortunately, it hasn't been in the movie.

А красивейшие наряды Зиночки создавал Вячеслав Зайцев. Они и сегодня смотрелись бы эффектно. Всё гениально в этом фильме. А самое главное, материал на котором он сделан. Булгаков тоже чертов гений..

I watched this from a friends recommendation who is in transnistria It is very similar to the "12 chairs" movie with Ron moody but it has a special charm for an English person to experience comedy from other lands💎

This is one of the best movies ever. I love Shurik plus this has a great cast. I remember the first time watching it I was sad that it might have been a dream, but it wasn't, the crown was still there but disappeared to time. Thank you Mosfilm, this is a gold treasure!

This film has the funniest portrayal of people stuck in an unfamiliar time period. I don't remember exactly why, but I remember that usually when I watch a time travel comedy, their attempts at comedy about the characters being unfamiliar with a time period just make me cringe but this film got it right.

There is " Er ist wieder da! " which is a german movie where Hitler comes back. Also some anime do smth similar, I think 1 or 2 seasons ago there was one where it is about a chinese general that manages a pop singer in modern times. Both pretty good

Смотрела этот фильм раз 500 и только сегодня заметила, что войско возвращается и милиция со скорой едут на одном и том же фоне, там церковь с куполами. Это ж надо, до какой степени прорабатывались кадры фильма, чтобы такими нюансами подчеркнуть связь времен! Великие авторы! Просто преклоняюсь перед их талантами.

In the USSR, if you threw a cigarette butt on the sidewalk, all the passers-by cursed at you. People were not afraid to walk at night. The police caught the criminals immediately, not a hundred years later. People were not jostling in the crowd. There was a culture of communication!

Its impossible to translate nor get the full remarkable sense of this movie for people who didn’t experience Soviet Union time or knew previous history of the Russian Empire and most importantly who don’t understand Russian, unfortunately! Its a true peace of excellent kind gentle type of cinematography!

The translation is pretty inaccurate, just like google translator do. The translator translated even movie's title wrong!

Знаете,вот смотришь старые фильмы,ведь там было тоже много актеров и актрис!!!!Но на экране появлялись лучшие!!!Сейчас смотришь фильмы,не спорю есть проблески,но редко очень редко,в основном ужасная игра!!!!Эти "старые"как-будто проживали свою жизнь!!!Леонид Ивовичбезусловный талантище!!!!Браво советскому кино!!!👋👋👋

Аналогично! Когда эти песни орали из каждого утюга, хотелось уши заткнуть, а не то, чтобы в слова вслушиваться... А со временем начинаешь понимать красоту работ настоящих мастеров и слова, и музыки, и исполнения, и... вообще всего, утраченного с уходом этой Эпохи!

Это наше все!!! Первый раз смотрел эту премьеру по телеку на новый год , тогда ещё под стол пешком ходил, 70 е годы.... С тех пор в сердце застряла, каждый раз смотрю как в первый! 👍👍👍 Сейчас и близко такого быть не может.

Раньше снимали на пленку, монологи длинные..Истинные таланты, которые играли роль не просто отрывками фраз, а всей душой эмоциями.. Люблю смотреть игру актеров в советских фильмах.

Сейчас вообще "диалоги" на уровне "да"," нет" , а длинные и со смыслом вообще отсутствуют . Диалоги заставляют размышлять и думать, а зачем учить людей думать?

Меня всегда удивляло, как в стандартный по протяженности фильм режиссер втиснул столько событий и сюжетных линий. И практически ничего не потерял из оригинала Булгакова. Время чуть другое, но все так гармонично сделано.

I was tempted to say "Grazie Russia", but it would not make justice to the movie and the period. So, "Grazie Soviet Union", because this movie belongs to a time when all were considered humans in spite of their social and ethnical differences. Not to mention the fantastic comicity of those actors... tak chto peredat moj Korol? Peredaite privet, auf viedersen, au revoir, xorochi govorja, CIAO!! :-)

Ну вроде перевод адекватный... Признаться, давно считал эту комедию заезженной. Сейчас с субтитрами внимательно каждый кадрик всматривался. Как будто первый раз посмотрел. Ржал до слёз. Всё-таки гениально снято и сыграно. Юмор безбашенный. Уж не знаю, как там носитель воспримет... В любом случае, громадное сапасибо Мосфильму за эту выкладку! Блин, тремя днями раньше стукнуло бы поискать - не нашёл бы ничего. Повезло!

Не знаю - я коэш не специалист в английском (и староанглийском), но речь соответсвующих персонажей насыщена забавными архаизмами - и по моему это по большей части пропало; или нет ? :>
