Interesting video. When I replaced the barrel hinge pin on my Iver Johnson I used a #7 taper pin. I clamped the barrel tight against the breech face of the receiver. Then I took a #7 taper reamer and reamed through the receiver from one side to the other while passing the reamer over the hook in the barrel lug. That made everything line up tight when I hammered the taper pin across allowing the pin to protrude on both sides. Then I trimmed off the excess and filed everything flush against the sides.

Hey Dan, Good idea using a #7 taper. I rotated the existing pin 180 after stipeling it w/ a prick punch before pressing it in as a way to stake it from rotating upon opening. Recently purchased a tom cat claimed,ithica M 37 shotgun probably on the next video. By the way in the Bob Brownell's 20th edition 1978 encyclopedia of modern firearms the Iver Johnson single barrel shotgun is referred to as " The Farmers Friend". Thank you for your comment! How do you remove the snap/break lever? I'm working on a similar 12 ga from Armory, and have everything apart to clean up, but can't figure out how to remove the lever. There appears to be a cross pin that maybe is holding it in?

День добрый!!! Авер Джонс классика однодулок, но опять таки удобна правшам, из за рычага открывания стволов, в МР или ИЖ-18 скоба находится снизу, что удобно стрелять с правого и с левого плеча. Если бы в МР-18 был бы внешний курок было бы лучше, не нужен бы был кнопочный предохранитель....

We are in Mayer, not far from Prescott. I was born on 61st and northern, northeast corner. My parents bought our house on 63rd and Bethany in 1968. So much change, my area was getting so rough and I just wanted to get my kids out. So we ended up here, much slower pace. What part of Glendale are you from?
