Can you do a video of how the ring lever operates? Like what makes it stay forward...

What keeps tension on the ring lever? I'm having a fit working on one here at my gunstore. I can't see anywhere that another spring goes to keep forward pressure on the ring lever. Can't find any missing parts on any diagram I've seen. Somebody please help !! 😢 😂

I have the exact same problem. Not getting any traction anywhere. Nothing jumps out as wrong or broken when disassembled. All I can think is that there is a specific method/order when assembling the trigger/hammer/release components.

Thanks for the video. Just got one of these. In pretty good shape. Couldn't fund much info on them. You've filled in the blanks. I've never seen one or heard of them. Semi rare?

I'm out sure how many of them are out there. While they are certainly very unique, unfortunately I don't think there's a lot of collector value to them. Thank you for watching!

This model was made between 1900 and 1908, per the Blue Book of Gun Values. There was a very good book on the company written by W.E. Goforth.

Actually at the time this shotgun was made, it was "Iver Johnson Arms and Cycle Works." It was named after founder Iver Johnson who was born in Norway.
