In short, pretty much BF109s vs French Hurricanes. Likely worse than a Hurricane to boot. Surprised it isn't on War Thunder. They could have a French line of aircraft on the British tree, it would be nice, heck maybe even the German tree, but for fairness, the British Tree. France had some respectable aircraft early war, similar to some of Italy's aircraft, respectable, but not greatest thing since sliced bread.

Artur Sobczak Well, the French had phased that uniform out by 1940, following the earth-tone trends of Britain and the US (I forget exactly when), but it looks tragically beautiful, so that's probably why the writers went with it in their alt-history scenario, so mixing their favorite elements like the V1 are no surprise.

Sean Rogers It is an Alt-History Europe; the defenders are a Gaulish French/Belgium What-If country, perhaps stemming from some medieval war zigging instead of zagging. Knowing this story, witches probably had something to do with it.

Briseur De Lance It is not so unrealistic you know. There were alot of bombs and for all we know that could be some old bunker that was not made from reinforced concrete.

Put it this way a 15cm shell weighed about 44kgs. The smaller bombs dropped by the Ju87B-2 were 50kg bombs, let alone the larger 250kg, and later 500kg and 1000kg bombs they could also carry. Of course explosive filler is different. A 15cm artillery gun would likely have thicker shell casings meaning less explosive filler than a 50kg bomb dropped from an airplane. Issue is the Ju87B-2 is about 1/3 larger than a BF109 so it looks like it's dropping tiny bombs, but in fact they're as large as most bombs dropped by fighter bombers like the Fw190 would, or a P47 (P47 would drop a mix of 100lb and 500lb bombs, similar in size to a Ju87's 50kg and 250kg bombs.) So that being said the 50kg bombs were more powerful than shells fired from a Self propelled gun like the Hummel. Most of the Ju87s in this anime were dropping 4 50kg bombs on top of a single 250kg bomb. A 250kg bomb is as powerful as a Battleship HE shell. The 250kg would of been the one under the belly of the plane, and it's powerful enough to make a large tank like a Tiger I almost flip over. Imagine if they were dropping the larger yield bombs like the 500kg and 1000kg ones, then again those were mostly for anti ship duty.

Dren Dolničar Making bunkers like those in non-reinforced concrete? Impossible. Plus, it didn't look like some early WW1 construction, but more like some WW2 work, out there. Some bunkers of the Atlantik Wall - those which construction hadn't been sabotaged - and of the Maginot Line resisted well to the hell set loose on them.

Briseur De Lance Well on top of that the bombs they showed being dropped on the bunker in the AMV are also the ones mounted on the belly, ie the 250kg bombs. They're comparable and more powerful than say an American 500lb bomb at the time, which were the common bomb type a B17 or B24 would carry. If an American 500lb bomb could flip a Tiger like a Matchbox Car, you can imagine that 250kg would do the same. There is actual combat footage of Ju87s dive bombing French Tanks, and they literally leap off the ground from the bast of 250kg bombs.

Its a good anime, though better if you take the magic out in my opinion. I love war anime and wish they did more without all the magic and highschool stuff
