If you do decide to make new purchases, have an exit strategy ready. Consider taking partial profits quickly to lock in some gains. I've been in regular contact with a financial analyst since covid. Investing in popular stocks is now quite straightforward; the issue is determining when to buy and sell. My advisor makes investment and exit decisions for my account, which has risen to more than $500K in less than a year.

Right, a lot of folks downplay the role of advisors until being burnt by their emotions, no offense. Biggest financial mistake I ever made was with my 401k. My company had a Roth 401k when my kids were in college, but I didn't actually start contributing until year 3 of the 6 years I had kids in college. Because I was helping them with expenses, I was entitled to the tax credits, so my effective tax rate was extremely low. That is the time you NEED to be in a roth! i still retired with about $360k in my 401k.

@@MatthewVinson I totally agree; I am 66 years old, recently retired, with approximately $1.2 million in external retirement funds. I am debt free and have very little money in retirement funds compared to the total value of my portfolio over the past three years. Most people don't understand the power of compound interest or are just impatient. However, I think it's better for the average person to invest in the S&P 500 and wait, which is reliable, albeit extremely long: many years, or just hire an investment advisor and accelerate wealth accumulation. Most people underestimate the power of the latter.

Fortunately, I had a college economics teacher that taught me a lesson at 18. That lesson was: for every huge, frivoluos purchase you make, you need to have an investment double it's worth, this doesn't necessarily mean you should always invest when you make a purchase, it simply means living within your means. Varied sources of income is wise and especially like i said, living within your means. Whenever you're about to make a huge, dumb purchase that doesn't add value think about taxes and how you get your income. I made $272k combined net last year and paid no Federal taxes with the help of my FA Olivia rene reyes.

i have a debt for the morgage. at first, i think it's a stupid idea, and don't know how i will live my life, because my income was not so big when i signed the contract. BUt now i'm so grateful because i have my own property instead of spending my money to pay rent gradually. I pushed my self to live in an minimalism, and start saving even without particular reasons.

I really wish I wasn't joking but I was diagnosed with ADD back in the late 90s. I remember at one point during my life I was standing right next to the wall and I was facing two different rooms side-by-side. I'm the left was a room that had a couch and a TV while the other room literally was full of books and one chair. I firmly believe to this day that if I had shows the room with all the books I would have been a completely different person today, but unfortunately I chose to choose the room that only had a couch and a TV. I hope you all know where I'm going with this! If I had shows the room that was full of books I would have been educated and insanely smart as well as fit and healthy. Unfortunately now I am morbidly obese and stupid, not to degrade myself, but because of my mental disorders life is very difficult for me. Please learn from me and educate yourself.

Most Americans find it hard to retire comfortably amid economy downtrend. Some have close to nothing going into retirement, my question is, will you pay off mortgage as a near-retiree, or spread money for cashflow, to afford lifestyle after retirement?

as most investing-related questions, the answer is, it depends.. my best suggestion is to consider advisory management
@FaithAndrada-xo9ou

Agreed, the role of advisors can only be overlooked, but not denied. I remember in early 2020, during covid-outbreak, my portfolio worth around 300k took a slight fall, apparently due to the pandemic crash, at once I consulted an advisor in order to avoid panic-selling. As of today, my account has yielded big fat yields, and leverages on 7-figure, only cos I delegate my excesses right.

Diversify financial investment When you purchase a stock, you’re getting an interest of the company(or small piece of that company, and you’re becoming a owner of that company (Purchase an index fund, etf or a mutual fund) The stock market can be volitile What are good for long term goals *Compound interest

I wish i learnt most of these principles about seven years ago. A lot of people have been trapped strongly in the matrix-- Go to school, get a job, and then slave your whole life. Many miss out on life-changing information that could have great effect on their finances. I played with the stock market sometime in 2020, and I was surprised at how well it turned out. I want to put in $90k more into the market. I heard people are making really great returns despite the downturn. Any recommendations?

This is good information. However, if every time you "get a raise" it goes to "increased rent & other expenses," it gets discouraging, especially if you are constantly loosing ground due to inflation and rising interest rates.
@masonr1666
@masonr1666 Жыл бұрын
The problem also is, you also can't plan for catastrophic life events. For example: not being competent enough out of college to find a job. A family member getting sick. Or family members stealing your wealth. There is an element of luck that gets overlooked when you talk about wealth building. The key to wealth building is this: you need an emergency fund that is separate from long term savings. Such that when a catastrophic event happens, you have cash to weather the storm. Still, some of us aren't talented enough (like myself) to merit making a lot of money. I am very lucky to be earning what I earn, but I realize I am not valuable to society in the least. So, the only other option is to minimize expenses. I don't see a path forward for increasing my income, especially with the looming recessions that always seem to be on the horizon.

✌🏻😌Great video. We are all seeking financial independence and a better way of life. This is not difficult to achieve with savvy investing, a frugal lifestyle, and cautious budgeting. I'm glad I learned early on to work hard for financial independence. As Warren Buffet said, he has seen this happen many times in his life. Not an investor, my wife and I never earned more than a middle-class salary. We plan to get retired at 58 with a stock portfolio worth $1.7M. We have never sold so much as one share of stock...

You have a very valid point, I started investing on my own and for a long time, the market was really ripping me off. I decided to hire a CFA, even though I was skeptical at first, and I beat the market by more than 14.3%. I thought it was a fluke until it happened two years in a row, and so I’ve been sticking to investing via an advisor.

Ok so here's what I've gathered from the video: Income - Money coming in. Distributor giving you money Expenses - Money coming out. You being the distributor, getting the things you need/want Tips : - Construct a financial budget - Spend less than your wage 50/30/20 Rule - Spend 50% of your monthly income (Bills, Housing), 30% of finances (Paying off debt, savings), 20% Things you indulge Assets - Stuff you own that has value Tips : - Set Up Savings account for emergency purposes - Diversify Investments. Don't put all your eggs in one basket Stock Market - A way of funding businesses in America that carries an appropriate risk and reward. Best way to invest in a small amount : Purchase index fund/ETF/Mutual Fund as it gets a broad exposure to many different companies than just buying an individual position Mutual Fund - a professional investment portfolio that pulls all sorts of investors who're looking to diversify their investments Index Fund/ETF (Exchanged Trading Funds) - Similar to Mutual Funds but are managed to match the performance of a particular group of companies such as Tech Companies, Consumer Goods Companies etc. Another example to better understand this is from the video : 7:45 8:49 Liability - Debt you owe I think this part is really important : 11:24 Let me know if I made any mistakes and if you want to mention another thing you've gathered from the video, I'd be happy to see it :)
