J-B WELD Shotgun Slugs - Is it crazy enough to work?

Making bullets (slugs) out of J-B Weld has been suggested SO many times over the years. We used some of their SteelStik putty and were able to make around 6 slugs from a single tube. (a magnet does stick to the stuff) We could have made more if we used more lead shot, naturally. The goal was to make slugs that had ballistics (accuracy and stability) as good as factory ammo.
Thank you Patreon supporters!

I wouldn't risk using these for home defense. What if when you shoot a bad guy the JB weld immediately seals the wound back up so they can stay in the fight?

This has become my favourite youtube channel, really. Your videos always have this feel of fun and passion about them, and that's what keeps me watching. I'm also honestly impressed how well you've kept out commercial interest out of your videos. Not many channels manage to stay true to their roots for this long.

The JB Weld + birdshot is similar in energy to a .357, or maybe a 10mm. Not actually that amazing compared to the ridiculous energy of a shotgun slug, but if you had nothing else and needed to handload some shotgun ammo, this wouldn't be a bad choice.

Had a customer that had a coolant leak on their diesel engine. Turned out the engine block was cavitated and coolant was leaking from the small holes on the engine block. Customer didn't have money to replace an engine so they paid me to repair it or patch it. Drilled the small cavities on the block and jb welded it. Over 1 year later and it's has not leaked. Shocking to every tech in the shop, and the customer is happy.
