J.D. Sumner probably might be the only man who can hit a note that low, praise God for all these gifted musicians that lifts up our spirits and makes us throw up our hands to worship Jesus, hallelujah!!!

This is a G1. There are many other basses who can sing that note quite well. J. D. had an unmistakable timbre, however, and could sing in the first octave like few others.

At the time JD was probably the lowest. Today Tim Foust and Avi Kaplan are lower and can hold their lowest note 16 counts but these two guys can go into the tenor range with no problems

jd is the lowest of all time because he does not use extended techniques to sing super low notes. For Avi or Tim they use extended techniques .

@emmanuelanyiwo6 not real sure what extended techniques you mean. JD you couldn't understand him as he got older. I sing bass and range up to lead sometimes. Use regular mics and have been the lowest of anyone with I've sang with. Let my allergies hit and I'm a half to a whole octave lower than normal

@@LeanoSamwinga When Ed's ex father in law JD Summer died. Ed erased all names and references to JD from the Stamps Quartet. Very soon after the new Stamps went out of business. Do you still respect Ed?
