Only jlo' says that love of my life BS. Anyone you are with should be the love of your life for that time in your life. I've had more than one myself! What was worse is she said "I fell in love for the first time" at 32! After 2 marriages and a long term relationship with her high school boyfriend. That was pretty unbelievable. She's just hyping this thing with Ben up too much. I'm like Jane Fonda. I see a fall if she keeps on being so dependent on him for her happiness and she's too public. At least she kept his kids out of it completely and mostly her kids although she talks about how she's worried she'll fail them. Probably Ben's demand.

Jlo is re-writing history, Ben fell in love with Garner whilst engaged to JLo so there's a definite overlap. Ben jilted Jlo for a reason. He made Garner his first wife and mother of his children three times. Jlo and her ego can't get over the fact that he left her for another woman and married her. This whole film thingy is a dig at Garner and Jlo's exes, they cheat on her for a reason, she's a complete narcissist, where are her friends? I don't see any other women around her, strange. Ben knew the doormat Jlo would take him back because she's so needy. All of Ben's exes were probably sick of his selfish behaviour but Jlo is willing to overlook his addictions, he swaps out one addiction for another. The fact that he is happy and flirty around Jen Garner is very telling.

To be honest i don't think Dayanara Torres ever recovered and although she has had a number of relationships since she has never remarried.

I was thinking the same thing! She did her documentary when she was doing her 50th birthday tour. She said that about ARod. He was always encouraging her and giving her pep talks. He helped her increase her business. And.....before anyone says that he cheated, well he never met the girl in person( I do know that you can emotionally cheat) but, she was doing the same thing with Ben. So, she really can't be mad at that! I get tired of people conveniently forgetting that part. Anyway, I wish them the best.

Exactly because she admitted that she tried making those men into something they weren’t in her mind. Because the truth is, she wished all those men were the one. And after Ben she kept basically seeking for a guy that reminded her of him. Lots of people do that. They spend years being with people who resemble the one they truly love.

PiazzaGurl I could not agree more with you well said and yes she did say she tried to make those men into something there not and the good in her wanted to try her best to make it work. Truth she tried to date guys that had quality of Ben but unfortunately they did not work out for her as they was not Ben her true love. Second all Jlo wrote two albums about Ben and she never wrote two albums for the other guys and sorry I only ever seen her look at Ben in a special different way.

I think she forgot this guy was still going to strip clubs when he was engaged to her and then ditched out on a wedding that cost a fortune. It didn’t take him five minutes to pick up with someone else and actually get married. That doesn’t sound like someone who sees your value, respects you or could ever help you see the best things about yourself when he moved on so quickly. It’s beyond hard to live with the fact that you were robbed of having the family with someone you should have had. She can never go back and regain that time. It’s tough being denied something so sacred as having a family with someone you loved so much. He resented that it was her new found fame that was bringing all the spotlight and cameras to their relationship. The more magazines were in pursuit if Jennifer the more resentment I think he felt. Competition is never a good thing when it’s created by outside forces pitting two people, who are supposed to love each other, against each other. No doubt he regretted the way he responded but sometimes the damage is simply done.

To add perspective, it's not about giving someone power over her happiness. She gave credit of where credit is due to where he "added" to her life. If you watch the documentary and music video adaptation, it was about her true love, was loving herself. Meanwhile, when she did the work that's when Ben came back in life. So it's more so full circle, relatable because that's life.

When she said “I didn’t think much of myself and so the world didn’t think much of me”. I don’t know if I should have empathy or if I want to shake her for wanting the “entire” world to love her. Many people find JLO cool and inspirational but to be surprised that some don’t can’t be a shock to her - just like there are people she doesn’t like. JLO is the one that wants to be seen and looked up to. It’s in her and has nothing to do with the outside world. The need to seek validation will probably be never ending unless you find peace within.

JLo deserves all the happiness in the world. Can’t blame someone for always searching for love. She just needed to know that it was inside the whole time. Ben truly is the lover of her life. I like how she explained she never fell out of love either but had to put it to the side. That’s called life. The only reason she gets judged so much is because she’s a public figure.

JLo left out the part that Ben cheated on her with a stripper and that is why they broke of their wedding 20+ years ago. He was with the stripper for weeks while filming out of the country. Ben when on to marry Jenn and guess what he did to her? he cheated on Jen the entire time they were married with prostitutes/strippers. NOT A GOOD type of man to marry. Now he is back with JLo and she thinks he is different. He's not. This is NOT the "greatest love story". She needs to learn to be her own best friend and not depend on men to build her up.

I think it's all in her head only after Ben got dumped by Ana and he had all kinds of failed relationships so he decided to get in touch with her when she got so embarrassed by some reality star getting DMs from Alex. It could happen, but you can't discount other relationships you've had in between, especially those that brought you children. They had to have meant something and likely you were in love with them. I believe two people can fall in love *again* when they reconnect, but they can fall in love with different people in between at times when they're out of love with you. 🤷🏻‍♀️ ((And just to clarify, when I'm saying "you" I mean people in general, or JLo in this case, not actually you, OP... haha))

Obviously he loved Jlo more. He said on the Howard Stern Show that he was miserable in his marriage to Garner and if he had stayed in it he would probably be still drinking and she was someone he should not have married. People were upset because he said that but it was his experience and his truth. I think because people like Garner he should have stayed with her but you never know what’s going on in two people private behind the scene. Another thing Garner was 4 months pregnant when he married her. Everyone knew he married her out of obligation and not love. He was not going to have illegitimate child in his life. That would have affected their careers too much if she had been walking around pregnant and not married. Why not just be happy about his marriage to Jlo. They seem to be.
