Johann Nepomuk Hummel (14 November 1778 - 17 October 1837) was an Austrian composer and virtuoso pianist. His music reflects the transition from the Classical to the Romantic musical era. He was a pupil of Mozart, Salieri and Clementi.

Such a brilliant sonata; I can see definitely without a doubt where chopin got some of his inspiration from, with Liszt behind andante of course, there's no doubt Hummel was a man of great class and consideration, who would never ever dane to avoid even the simplest of requests from those seeking true music. His works are among some of the most musically brilliant and without a doubt this well-written and thoughtful sonata pieces the fragile nature of what people considered music of that era. I cannot say for certain as to why this incredible diety of the music work is so barely-known now, even by the musically in-depth, but regardless of listener Hummel's phrasings and passagework stand the test of time, and when unleashed they create the most beautiful of memories. Bravo, Maestro Hummel for this work!

What a clear and obvious sound of Mozart and Haydn! Hummel actually was a disciple of them, Mozart and Haydn. He interpreted their music to his own way by utilizing fantasic-massives, something complicated or chord. In fact, He is said to have played a role of connecting between classism and romentism!

0:27 Tristan chord. 0:44 probably inspired Chopin for his Sonata No. 3 and 1:38 for his Sonata No. 1 Finale

Agree. I hear a “bridge” between Beethoven and Chopin here, particularly in the improvisatory writing, and the vocally inspired ornamentation Chopin would so fully exploit later.

Sorry but it's not the Tristan chord, which is a french augmented sixth but simply the diminished seventh chord on the leading tone of the dominant c#, which is the fifth degree in F# minor.

I guess you mean Hummel, not Beethoven. There are very few links between Chopin and Beethoven, I’d say so few, they might not even exist :)
